K9 web protection as far as i know is the best.

 

I was just messing, have you tried open DNS? it's not software it's basically a 'Domain Name Server' that filters content. a lot of businesses use it it's free and simple to set up. I will add that it's only going to really work in terms of helping to prevent you stumbling on porn by mistake. also turning google safe search on helps too. Obviously if you are really intent on finding it then no matter what barriers you put up you will find a way to break them down. Absolutely nothing gets in the way of an addict getting their fix when they are in the heat of the moment, i've done some pretty crazy stuff in the past to try and 'stop myself' from accessing porn, one of them was gluing a timer socket to my router power supply so the internet turned off at a certain time each night...didn't work because I ended up getting a hammer and a screwdriver to break it free. Another thing I tried was leaving my bank card at work over the weekend (I had a problem with drugs too) so I couldn't withdraw money to buy drugs, all i ended up doing was getting it on tick and paying it back the following week. When it comes down to it you cannot rely on external factors when the problem is an internal one, it's all in your head buddy and you got to master that and maybe get help from other like minded people who share the same struggle in a group setting like Sex Addicts Anonymous. The only other option is basically to throw your computer away and buy a really cheap phone that can't even go on the internet but that's a bit extreme.

 

Covenant Eyes is supposed to be quite good too, although you do need an accountability partner since they hold the passwords which only they can set.

 

The problem is that K9 can be easily uninstalled also by those who, like me, are not familiar with computer science: just search with Google and there are many ways to disable it (I've learned them now and I can uninstall it in minutes, it's enough booting pc in safe mode and change some keys in Regedit that a search on Google clearly indicates).

And equally Open DNS can be neutralized, because you just have to change the network connection DNS on pc (my router doesn't allow to change its default settings, which are not Open DNS ones).

So, I'm still looking for a program that is really undeletable...

A solution would be not have administrator privileges for your computer, but if we are the only ones in the family to use a computer, we might end up in big trouble if we have simply to install or uninstall any program or perform other regular actions...

 

Right, but if we could have enough self-control we would have solved our problem and we would not be here talking about it...Will power is important, but it's not always enough, nor easy to develop...

 

K9 can be put out of order simply by looking for some suggestion on the net. Covenant Eyes is not free, and however we need a partner to help us (not easy to find, since it's hard, very hard to tell somebody about our embarassing problem). I also thought we could create a non-administrator account in Windows, but if we must do some modification or install a new software on the pc, we couldn't do anything (and when we are the only ones in our family who can use pc, if we ourselves can't do anything to repair damaged software, we are really in big troubles). Many parental controls provide accounts for children, but they are not suitable for providing a block for pc administrator (adult!) himself, or however for anyone who uses a pc...
Yes, we must find in ourselves the power to quit, realizing we are slave of fapping, but when the game is tough it is necessary a (strong) software help. Any suggestions for site blockers that are really difficult to circumvent? Of course, there is no software that can't be uninstalled, but that at least is hard indeed to disable...
