New to NoFap but ready for a challenge. I want to abstain from all PMO. Ultimately, a 90 day reboot is what I'd like to do but I figure one month is a good place to start. I actually did 100 days 15 years ago and once I got past the withdrawal it was very peaceful. I'd like to have that again. Porn has sapped my motivation in my personal and professional life and I want it back. So here I am. Open to gentle feedback and suggestions for new members. Thank you for your support. Good to know I'm not alone.

G’day Ellis, you say ‘I want to abstain from all PMO’, good one, me too. The difference in experience is is really like day and night. And I want to have that ‘day’ experience - light, bright and awake. I recently went about 50 days but lapsed over the last two weeks. I like your past form. 100 days hey, well done. I’m going to go for that starting today, I believe 100 day would reboot my behavioural hard drive good and proper, just a matter of familiarity with alternate sense objects, water, fresh air, sleep, activity, conversation and proper love, love demonstrated through, loving action and kindness to self and others. I hope you are cool with me jumping on this thread, it makes sense to me, your words and the timing fit. Here goes Fapstronaught away...!
Tomorrow is a new day. Day 1. Giddy-up!

Here I go!!! I just found this site, I am on 23 days no PM. Have an O with my wonderful girlfriend once in a while, but that is new in our relationship. My reboot is no P, no M. Only sex with her. My goal is 90 days, and then more after that. That puts me in a Standard Reboot, and I am onboard!!!

I know. I was in 12 step recovery and then relapsed after the death of a good friend 10 years ago. It didn't bring him back. Now back in recovery but feel I need more support. A program buddy recommended nofap so here I am.

I am signing up for this challenge. Hard mode no PMO for may 2018. I'm doing this because I can't remember the last time I was more than a week without PMO. I've tried almost anything and I always come to the same conclusion: as long as I havent done this, I have't really met myself. Because whatever is happening in my life regarding PMO it's not my choice. I want to stop. But the other me has his own agenda. So I need to meet myself. and the only way is to no give in to the other me who only cares about the dopamine in the brain.

I am not sure if I joined this challenge here, or on a separate post. Either way I am in for 90 days and then more. I am at day 23 before even finding NoFap. Standard re-boot, I have a beautiful lady.

3 days into this challenge. Hard mode. God is with me and i will need him.

Saw a description of porn while surfing satellite tv. Almost clicked on it. I feel like I’m not so far from falling back. Somebody help!

    • Are you not going to allow yourself to masturbate? View porn? Orgasm whatsoever? Not allowing any outlet for sexual release is dubbed "hard mode". For a full list of parameters, see our Rebooting 101 page.
I choose NoFap's Hard Mode Program because I want to completely reboot myself. I choose not to masturbate, view porn, or orgasm in other words. Absolutely no real sexual release at all.
    • How long do you want this challenge to last? By default it is one month, but 90 days is recommended for rebooting. You can't know how long it will take to "rewire" your brain, it widely varies due to individual circumstances. Some people require a year or longer to regain sexual function.
I want this challenge to last as long as I need to until I am completely rebooted. I then choose to move forward with my life and try to build where I left off before everything went off awry. As the post mentions, I don't know for sure how long it'll take for me, especially since I've started since puberty. For all I know, it could take awhile.
    • What are your goals?
My goals are to discover the reality that lies beyond the world of PMO. I desire to become a more focused and open-minded thinker, in order to become prepared for my studies for life. It is important that I am able to concentrate very well so that I can be able to interact with people properly and learn and read efficiently, as I have wished to do. I desire to become more self-disciplined, to be able to control myself in any situations that would call my willpower to a real test. I desire to be more connected with my family and friends. It's really important to be able to establish good relationships with my family because I value my family and it's not certain whether I'll be around forever to be able to speak to them. I also desire to become a genius. Most important of all, it's not about saying, but doing.
    • Why are you doing this?
I am doing this in order to become myself once again and go beyond the horizon that previously I was not able to cross. My life needs change. Going on with PMO forever isn't just going to magically change my life for the better. I know that it's lackluster right now and can improve in many areas. I can become so much better than I am already and one way to take that step is to quit PMO, which I firmly believe will help. And so I take the challenge of doing this reboot, hopefully being able to reach all my goals aforementioned.

Day 2. Doing ok this morning but visiting friends out of town this weekend. A little worried about coming back Sunday as I often get triggered returning from a trip. But I know I'm not alone.
