Many on this forum have definitely been able to abstain from a disgusting addiction and get a grip on their life (or at least some aspects of it). For this I salute you all and your elevated willpower that brought you to take this decision, which, in of itself is only a part of other major matters in life that will require our willpower and diligence. I'm no successful abstainee thus far, and I'm not making this post for the aforementioned individuals. This is for all the new people and I sincerely hope you take my words to heart.

When you first joined this forum you either had one of several recurring episodes of instinctive disgust post-orgasm, or you have your own serious reasons and motivations. The latter without a doubt is guaranteed to succeed due to a stronger foundation while the former may be here episodically before they relapse and start drooling like a monkey to disgusting pornography. This is for the drooling monkey. Do not fucking relapse. I do not care how hard it gets or how innovative your mind becomes in moments of desperation where it relapses animalistically... Take this opportunity to prove for once that you're not going to let your hormones dictate what you're going to do and instead allow your rational mind to take over.

Take this as an extension of various other things in life. Pornography is one out of many addictions and post-orgasm trauma is only one out of many experiences that occur after engaging in addictive habits. A binge eater is going to feel disgusted more often than not, a smoker is going to feel irritated and helpless, and a chronic masturbator/porn addict/frequent fapper (whatever you consider yourself) is going to wonder why he touches his rod uncontrollably like the world is going to end.

I believe achieving self control over this will extend to other matters in life. This shouldn't be about simply abstaining for meager reasons that don't amount to much, it should be a test of how human you're willing to be, especially in times of desperation.

Much love for everyone. Stay strong <3
