    Week 0

I've previously been on this site and have lapsed back into old habits. Time to get back on here and humbly admit to myself that going on without a plan has not been a fruitful track.

My old thread: 7 days is all she wrote...

I find making some long term and short term goals helpful.

Near to Long Term Goal: I've got an important interview in September that will require much studying and preparation that I'll need my mental energy and focus before, during, and after the interview. To obtain that clarity, I'll need to eliminate the porn, masturbation, and alcohol and replace these with meditation, exercise, and healthy nutrition.

Having a weekly plan with goals has been very helpful to me. Goals to achieve this week:
    • 7 days P-free
    • 7 days no alcohol
    • 7 days meditation, 20 minutes
    • 3 days Crossfit
    • 2 days Running

I gotta admit. I was hesitant to hit the "Submit" button on that intro message. My sinister side was telling myself, "Let me go out tonight and have one last drink, one last hoorah with the Porn. Then, you'll be ready to start tomorrow or maybe next week." But I've already delayed this project long enough and the cycle will only perpetuate itself.

    Week 1

I wasnt ready to start this challenge, but start it I must. Goal review:
    • 7/7 days P-free. This has been a big improvement. No time was lost being mired away watching streaming porn.
    • 4/7 days no alcohol. This has been the toughest goal to keep as having a drink here and there is such a part of my life.
    • 5/7 days meditation, 20 minutes. No excuse for missing this one. Must do this in the morning.
    • 3 days Crossfit. First time doing Crossfit 3 times in a week.
    • 2 days Running. Training for a marathon and running twice a week is the bare minimum.
    Goals for Week 2:
    • 7 days P-free
    • 5 days no alcohol
    • 7 days meditation, 20 minutes
    • 3 days Crossfit
    • 2 days Running

    Week 2:

Reminder to myself as to why I am doing this. I have a very important job interview in a little over 3 weeks. I need all the focus and clarity I can muster to study, prepare, and execute with quality on the interview. Two weeks down and things have been clearing up.
    • 7/7 days P-free. Feels like my libido is severely dampened. Three weeks ago I couldnt think straight due to a high libido. Now, not much.
    • 6/5 days no alcohol. Some heavy drinking on Friday night. Took me out of commission for about 16 hours. Something to just eliminate.
    • 7/7 days meditation. 20 minutes. With porn and alcohol consumption reduced, this has become easier to fulfill.
    • 1/3 days Crossfit. Irregular sleep schedule made me miss a couple of sessions of xfit.
    • 3/2 days Running. With a marathon coming up in a few months, I need to stay on track with my training schedule.
Minus the miss of the crossfit, it's been a good week. Also had a productive weekend of studying.

    Goals for week 3:
    • 7 days P-free
    • 5 days no alcohol
    • 7 days meditation, 20 minutes
    • 3 days Crossfit
    • 2 days Running

    Week 3:

The weekend was tough. Libido starting to act up. Two weeks to go until my interview.
    • 7/7 days P-free. I was on the verge of giving into this. I either have to stay busy or sleep to get my mind off sex.
    • 4/5 days no alcohol. Gave into a mid-week Happy Hour.
    • 6/7 days meditation, 20 minutes. Missed a Friday morning session.
    • 3/3 days Crossfit
    • 2/2 days Running
    Goals for week 4:
    • 7 days P-free
    • 5 days no alcohol
    • 7 days meditation, 20 minutes
    • 3 days Crossfit
    • 2 days Running

I like that way you have of stating your plans and reviewing it to see what you have or have not achieved of what you set out to do.. I think I will take that on board.

    Week 7 Review

This past week had its ups and down. On a positive, I passed the first round of the interview process. Wheels are in motion for setting up the next rounds which should take place in a couple of weeks. A few weeks now into this NoFap challenge, I've become highly obsessed with sex. It's becoming my dominant thought. I got myself off this weekend as to give my mind some relief from all these sexual thoughts. Came up short on many goals.
    • 5/6 days P-free
    • 4/5 days no alcohol
    • 5/6 days meditation, 20 minutes
    • 1/2 days Crossfit
    • 2/3 days Running
I've got a good plan in place. Just need to follow through on a daily basis. Goals for week 8:
    • 6 days P-free
    • 5 days no alcohol
    • 6 days meditation, 20 minutes
    • 2 days Crossfit
    • 3 days Running

    Week 9 Review

I did not report in for the last two weeks. When I'm not reporting in, I'm most likely off indulging myself. Time to make another effort of getting back on track.

I've got an important interview coming up next week. It will be important to be rested up and to have focus and mental clarity. Gotta give up the ladies and the boozing for awhile.

    Goals for week 10
    • 7 days P-free
    • 7 days no alcohol
    • 7 days meditation, 20 minutes
    • 2 days Crossfit
    • 3 days Running

    Week 10-11 Review.

Well, I finally had my interview last week. It went about as well as it could go. I'm now in a holding pattern waiting to hear back.

Now knowing myself a little better, I gotta keep setting goals for myself else I'll just lapse back into old behavior patterns. Next big goal is a Marathon coming up next month. Gotta get myself into the best possible shape to at least have an enjoyable run. Exercise and a healthy diet will be the main focus.

    Goals for Week 12:
    • 7 days P-free
    • 5 days no alcohol
    • 7 days meditation, 20 minutes
    • 1 days Crossfit
    • 4 days Running

Heard back this past week on the results of my interview and the news wasnt good. I wont be advancing into the next round of interviews and this story has come to an end. It has been a humbling experience and I'd like to turn this into the "wake-up call" that I need to clean things up.

    Goals for Week 13:
    • 7 days P-free
    • 7 days no alcohol
    • 7 days meditation, 20 minutes
    • 1 days Crossfit
    • 4 days Running

Seems like you're doing well. By my count, you've only PMOed 2 times in the last 91 days. Is that right?

There are several weeks when I didnt report in. In these situations, I'm usually off indulging myself. So, it's not so easy to ascertain my progress by looking back at my log entries. I've had to reset the PMO counter many a times.
