OKAY--SO HERES THE DEAL IF YOU REALLY WANT SUCCESS...

Discussion in 'Rebooting in a Relationship' started by Deleted Account, Apr 17, 2018.

  1. Maybe, maybe not. Everyone's entitled to their story. Don't like what you hear move on. I hear bullshit everyday, but I don't make it my place to fix everyone. He was sharing something important to him and everyone got in his shit about it. Don't believe him. Fine. Don't make a stink about it.

  2. its not for everyone--but if you can but more power to you,,,and one of the benefits is that you will have crazy attraction to your partner if you don't org,--but like i said its not for everyone and extremely difficult to do

I'm not confronting OP because I'm trying to fix him. I'm confronting him because I think he's spreading false information to people who are struggling with an addiction. To the best of my research abilities, there is nothing that suggests that semen retention has any significant health benefits. If you can find a peer-reviewed, scientific journal article demonstrating the health benefits of semen retention, I'm open to reading it. However, until that point I'm going to remain unconvinced. In fact, the research I have found on frequency of ejaculation suggests that ejaculating frequently can reduce the risk of prostate cancer. So, if anything, there may actually be positive benefits to ejaculating. I'm not claiming that semen retention is harmful, but I am claiming that there's no evidence suggesting it does anything good for you, either.

If semen retention made a positive impact on the life of OP, then that's fine. I'm not trying to say his experience isn't valid. I'm just saying that there's nothing that suggests semen retention will have positive benefits for everyone who tries it, and to say that it guarantees success is misguided at best and a flat out lie at worst.

  4. There's nothing to suggest that veganism has positive benefits for everyone who tries it either. Right now you're trying to play the "empirical evidence" card and if we're going to do that, we may as well close the site. Everyone's mileage is different. Let it go.

OP is trolling and sounds like Billy Mays.

    But wait there's more...

If you don't cum every 10 times you have sex, then you will make a million dollars. Anyone who brags about making a million dollars to an anonymous internet forum hasn't made a million dollars. Trust me. I know. I have made a million dollars. ;)

  7. this is getting ludicrous--first, i am not bragging I've made some serious $$$$--like i said, who cares?
second, whats the point? its just a thing i have read about in taoism--and many other places, that claim retaining semen is beneficial,,its not a big deal if you believe it or not,,,i have found through my personal experiences that after i org. i feel lethargic and dopey,,,and if i can have sex and not org, i feel like a million bucks (oh sorry theres that reference again) honestly, i don't care if you try it or not,,,could absolutely care less,,,rather than hating on a principle that has worked for me feel free to post something that has worked for you

  8. i have found if i practice s retention i have crazy attraction for my wife,,,

  9. you become so alpha its insane,,,and if you think about it--
the expression is "to cum your brains out"
    hmmmm

  10. as they say, "game, set, match"

  11. I doubt that the stars that OP referred to (Muhammad Ali, Miles Davis, etc) practiced sex without orgasm. I expect that they just didn't have sex before their big matches/gigs/whatever.

I suspect that consistently having sex without orgasm cannot be good for your prostate.

  12. Youre loosing vitamins and nutriens and LOTS of ot with every sigle ejaculation. If you still think this does not put a toll on your body that if regulated and covered by a healthy lifestyle that nonetheless over decades will keep that organism limited in its overall vitality amd strength if a fucking idiot for refusing to use basic common sense.

Some Fapstronaut who are doing the worst in terms of vitality get back pain from pmo, for a week or longer. Bone pain, no fluids to help. Others get sick/cold immediatly and recover visibly faster if they take supergreens powders or vitamins and such. I have experienced this myself. I went close to 90 days in the brink of winter, wankers who need nofap like food and water and normal kids who dont practice nofap but still beat it as a supposedly 'harmless' habit every 1-3 weeks got cold I, previously one of the main wankers in school did not. My posture was better, my family at home got colds and such.

When you morons say it doesn't improve health you are ignoring logic like if you mcdonalds only you will soon fall sick and immune system is slowly retarded and the fact that it surely takes a lot longer than 7 days or 180 days to really notice somewhat superior strength in the face of disease but you still notice the increased vitality.

  13. Sounds like the good ol’ fallacy cum hoc ergo propter hoc ("with this, therefore because of this"). Latin Pun intended, which FYI is worth like a million points. :D

When it comes , ha!, to semen rentention I have just one request: SHOW ME THE SCIENCE! I’m talking a study published on PubMed and not some AlphaManBro.com site.

Well I do have to give OP props for creating a thread with people arguing two sides of a seemingly (semengly?) controversial issue. I must admit that cumming like 15-20 times a week when PMOing will give me a different mental state than when I let my nuts swell with little sperm runners for 7 days. Not sure if I can attribute that to semen retention or if it is the chemical imbalance created from years of watching porn. However, theoretically if man is evolved to reproduce, it would make sense that a swelling sack might give said man more drive, desire, etc. The bean bag is telling the brain to go out and shower the world with DNA.

That said, I still think OP is trolling with his cure-all infomercial style presentation of "blue-balls for the win."

  15. We have a whole history of testimony. In 1950s they said smoking is cool and that was thens porn. Studies were faked and officials bribed. You had doctors officially sposoring camel ciggaretes. Why do you expect todays porn ¥ndu$t£¥ is moral as well?
And why do you put emphasis on a words of someone with a fancy title over testimony! Its like science not aknowledging depression and yet there plety of really depressed people.

  16. i wanted to share a success secret that worked for me,
it either works for you or it don't, no more convincing on my part--
Now--share one of YOUR success secrets that have worked for you--dont hate, don't argue, don't get closed minded, don't get nasty or vulgar (this is a supportive site alledegdly)--
we've all heard about cold showers, and vegan, and meditation, and mindfulness--add something that has made you the success you are today--
lets hear a secret of YOUR OWN PERSONAL SUCESS...

It's all in good fun man. I haven't seen anyone get nasty or vulgar. To me, it looks like people discussing both sides civilly. I think it's the hyperbolic and blanket statements that people are having trouble with. I'm sure this method works with some people, but one should expect to receive push-back when making a claim that it will give everyone success. When it's all said and done, we are all here to support one another, and I'm happy you've found something that works and thanks for sharing.

  18. you set a nice tone and thanks -- i offered a life hack--
that has worked for me,,,would love to hear other life hacks,,,

  19. anyways, and perhaps heres the real point,,,instead of arguing with all these snarky comments--
get in bed with your wife or gf,,,make her have an orgasm,,,hold yours in, take a cold shower,,,and then post your experiences---
then i know you'll have a genuine opinion jaja

That's completely irrelevant. The question is about semen retention, not about veganism. If someone was claiming that going vegan drastically improved your life, then I would give it the same sort of rigorous scrutiny I'm giving to OP.

EDIT: There actually is a significant amount of empirical evidence suggesting that a vegan diet has positive effects on human health, as suggested by this article: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4245565/

and here's another article suggesting that vegan (and vegetarian) diets can improve the health of diabetic people: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19386029/

Did you actually do any research on veganism before you said there was nothing to suggest that a vegan diet had positive health benefits, or did you just say that without thinking anyone would actually check?

You say that as if we shouldn't respect the value of empirical evidence in a debate about reality. You don't value empirical evidence?

Also, why would relying on empirical evidence imply that we would have to close this site? As far as I know, this website is (mostly) about overcoming an addiction to pornography, and there is lots of empirical evidence suggesting that pornography addiction has many negative effects on the brain similar to those of an addiction to drugs. Go to this link and search "pornography" or "pornography addiction" if you want to see the evidence: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/. Try going to the same site (or any academic journal database, for that matter) and searching for semen retention and you will find no relevant results.

I don't see any reason to let it go.
First of all, this is a public forum. I could just as easily tell you to "let it go". If you don't like what I'm saying, you have just as much of an incentive to ignore my posts as I do to ignore the OP's clickbaity garbage.
Second of all, if someone is spreading falsehoods, I'm going to call them out, especially if those falsehoods are being spread to a bunch of vulnerable porn addicts who came to this forum for actual support with their addiction.
