NoFap, NoVideoGames and Virgin

yeah, videogames, anime, and porn ruined my social life too. im 28 and i guess i take it pretty hard, because i feel old as a virgin. maybe nofap can help me somewhat.

Well... You are sort of a case, but i believe you should wait patiently in NoFap, because the time will come, you just need to act.

 

Oli95, have you tried meditation, particularly in the hour or so before going to bed? It takes a little practice, but nothing difficult. There are innumerable resources out there to help get you started.

 

Firstly, I empathise with your situation. I spent three years living with a bunch of kids who though every night was a party. There are a few options that could work for you in this situation;

1) earplugs - cheap, moderately effective, and allow you to focus on your breathing.

2) headphones and a guided meditation - it may sound cheesy, and some soundtracks can come off as cheap, but they can be pretty effective.

3) just ignore it - obviously the cheapest option, but also the most difficult to master early on. If done successfully however, it can really add to your motivation all-round.

Quitting games? A great idea I say. I am 73 days off gaming, and my life is 80% back on track. Cheers.

 

I play computer games myself, although I would never classify it in the same league as my P usage. I do know that since starting NoFap, I've only logged in a time or two to the opening screen of an MMO I like, but as I'm not giving up computer games per se, I don't see it as really issue. I feel very bad for a lot of younger people for whom screens are so much a part of their lives, with social media and games getting caught up in the soup with porn.

Then again, I'm an old(-ish) fart.

You're definitely not along with wasting time in virtual worlds.
I say don't worry too much about losing your virginity - focus on your goals.
It's seriously overrated to lose it, wait until you really care for someone.

 

Seriously, I'll quote this for emphasis. You DO NOT want to end up a bitter twist husk of a human being like me, clawing their way back to the rest of the species. If I could go back and tell 19 year old me to focus on themselves for a bit and NOT be led into the offer, I honestly would. Sure, I'd probably have to wait a year or two, but that would have been worth it. I could have spent that time learning frickin' Tai Chi or focusing on my university work instead of pining after someone it didn't feel attraction to until she did her thing.

Save it for someone who's worth it.

 

Don't think too much about your virginity. I didn't have any sexual relationship during 25 years, but when it was time, i started to have sex with girls, and i am good now except some ED because of p addiction.
