No, wetdreams are not "natural"

Discussion in 'Abstinence, Retention, and Sexual Transmutation' started by Koldhand, Sep 18, 2018.

  1. I had a wet dream tonight, and when i woke up i have ejaculated a little of semen. In the dream, i remember, i have ejaculated too. I think its because i'm no masturbating.

Guys do you really talk about wet dream to be natural or not? What u want to achieve? U wanna get the info? Ask ur father if he had wet dream or ur grandpa when he was young. Simple shit as that. You wanna feel superpowers? Turn off PC,Phone,TV,Games,Music and start doing things. I bet after 2 weeks u gonna feel like superman. Add some shortterm goals and make some routines and stop thinking about shit like wet dream. I had like 3-5 during my time and I dont even care . My body needs it? all right buddy take it. After all I gonna wake up and do my stuff like always.

  4. I had 3 wet dreams in the first 50 days. I think it's part of recovery. I think it stops after a while. My wet dreams were not even sexual. What would happen is I would dream that I was, for example, doing a stressful exam. I'd be so stressed I'd cum my pants. On the other hand, if you're dreaming about sex or fucked up fantasies, that's probably bad. After all, you should be able to abstain from engaging in sexual acts even in your dreams.

My last wet dream was about flirting with some new met girl at some party. No sex, no kisses, just pure talk and human flirt. Didnt even feel got wet dream till the morning. In opposite my first wet dreams were more focused on sex and fantasies .
I agree it might be part of the recovery.

  6. How are you feeling now? We're both at 51/52 days. I've been unbearably depressed since day 1.

Sir, would you please share your method for not orgasming? I have faced nearly the identical situation as you describe when starting that your have a wet dream nearly weekly, and I know how draining it can be. Any help would be much appreciated!

    This is the secret:
The method I used (which works better than forcing yourself to awake) was that I in the beginning of 2018 edged one time first week while imagining I was having sex. (without coming ofcourse) This is the best way because you trick your body to think that it has had sex and you will not experience wetdreams at all!

Then I repeated the same thing but with two weeks apart. Then 3 weeks. Then 4 weeks etc etc. Now it has gone 65 days since I edged last time and I have not even had a single sexual dream.

The trick is to slowly get your body used to it. Next year for example I'm planning to edge no more than once every quarter. (4 times total 2019) It's not perfect I know but it's sure a hell of alot better than ejaculating in your sleep every week.

I hope you found this useful. Good luck in your semen retention journey

Hmm, interesting. Edging is a controversial technique, but some may find it to assist with the withdrawal. My concern is that the dopamine imprint may linger for a longer time, and thus the individual is still affected by the symptoms of "dopamine over-dose". My primary concern with monk mode is that it requires discipline to not even consider stimulating thoughts. This requires intensive meditation. I really appreciate your response, and I'd like to check up with you on the results of your progress!

Personally, my experience with edging has always resulted in a wet dream the following night or in the upcoming evenings. I'll let you know if I have had any benefits from the meditation technique.

I agree with @Ravefist, that edging is too big a risk as a trigger. It may work for a single person such as as @Koldhand, but I doubt it would work for the majority of people. I strongly encourage all Fapstronauts not even think about this method, it leads down a dangerous path.

Here is a quote from the NoFap site, under: What is Porn Addiction, section: Triggers:
Addiction makes a full circle when the addictive behavior causes conditions which then trigger the need to once again act out the addictive behavior.

All you're doing by edging is reinforcing the mental patterns (not neurological). You can't sidestep it. In fact the mental component is superior to all the other components - sex starts and ends in the mind. If you're having wet dreams it is because you have sex on the mind. Whatever techniques or gimmicks you use to ensure physical retention means little if you're not tackling the real root of the issue, which is in the mind.

You identify with it because you want to, based on memory of past pleasure and temporary elation from the pain of daily existence. Edging may spare physical release but you're still totally caught up in it all. Just go celibate until you reach a good level of recovery and switch into a physical relationship, or achieve a specific spiritual objective. Other than that what is the point? Teasing and tickling yourself by edging is just spinning wheels and a half arsed approach.. go all in and don't bother.

Do you think wet dreams eventually stops for someone in monk mode. I mean people living in celibacy don't experience wet dreams at least not to My knowledge

I've done two 6+ month celibate streaks and only had a wet dream on the first run right at the end of the streak; I had given in to temptation and stimulated myself a bit which obviously caused internal bleeding somewhere, because days later I had a involuntary wet dream to flush the stagnant blood and semen. What I noticed after I ended my second run is that even after half a week when I came again was that there was hardly any semen; the body adjusts according to the frequency you set.

So long as you don't deliberately stimulate yourself or keep sex on the mind then I think the production of fluid gradually decreases. Also I don't think the level of fluid and need to expel are necessarily linked, it's more to do with how entrenched your mind is with sexual thoughts and imagery.

It's funny how westernians have no idea about sex in general.

    Let me shed some lights

The purpose of the semen isn't just to impregnate women.

The semen can be used for enlightenment purposes and moving to a higher consciousness.

Anyways in regards to wet dreams, if they happen, it's mainly because you have sexual thoughts, abstaining from masturbation is hard enough figures thinking sexually, we are constantly bombarded with sexual impressions everyday, TV, internet, ads, everywhere, it's extremely hard, only a true realized master never experiences wet dreams.

There are also other practices that lead to transcending sex, i.e. not getting anymore erections and being immune to sexual desire in general.

A man or woman that has great compassion and love towards human beings does not get sexually aroused, this is because sexual desire itself is a lower desire and the desire for love is higher and completely suppresses the previous one.

Now how to get there? that is complicated to explain in words and honestly I don't think you guys care in first place as all I see in this forum is getting more sex

I couldnt agree more. I read these posts about wet dreams and the majority of folks believe that they are a curse and need to be controlled somehow, with one post asking for advice on how to best clean up a mess. I dont see the issue here. Your asleep. Unless you are practicing some kind of lucid dreaming exercises and they, or rather your sexual predilections are getting in the way, then, just let it go. Enjoy it for what it is and move on.
