I'm a 29 year old male that's been PMOing since I was at least 14 if not earlier. I've had a few ~14 day streaks, but I don't think I've ever been able to even do a 30 day hard mode. I'm sick of being a slave to this crap. The low self esteem, brain fog, tiredness, lack of energy, viewing women in the wrong way, etc... I'm debating getting rid of my home internet, but I'm sure I'll find ways around that when I'm 'in the mood'. I feel like I know all the right answers, but I just haven't been able to put them into practice.

Hi! I'm a complete novice w/ this but maybe can share a thought w/ u anyway. Many guys here keep repeating that one should develop new good habits iso just deciding the old bad ones. What might u think of that?

Abstaining from PMO is impossible as long as you're idle. You don't need to get rid of your home internet. You need to get rid of this lifestyle that gives you free time to sit in front of your computer and PMO. What is your purpose in life? What do you want to achieve? Why? Who are you doing this for? How bad do you want it?

You must occupy yourself at all times. Set a morning routine. Make sure you go to work. When you come back, develop a skill. Work on a side hustle. Take an hour or so to sit back and watch TV or read a book if you must. At the evening, make your own dinner. Invite family or friends over. Ring someone you didn't talk to in months. At night, don't even think about going on your computer. Go out and meet new people. Invite a good friend or girl home. Take a cold shower, meditate, and feed your brain. Make sure you exercise 3-6 times a week. Go to bed exhausted after a long, productive day. On time.

You must stay hungry and stay busy. When you're striving to be the best version of yourself, PMO won't have a part in your life. You'll make it!

This is all well and good but litterally no one is able to 100% stick to a perfect routine like this, especially PMO addicts. To be honest, on work days, you have little free time anyway. It would be a good idea on work days to go to work, come back, go to the gym, cook a healthy meal (and lots of it) and then potentially watch Netflix or relax. The relaxation part make sure not to go on your PC or phone. Get rid of them if you must. It's necessary to do whatever it takes to quit PMO, but it's simply not realistic to assume he can always fill free time.

Weekends are the hard part. I guess cook, shop, clean, play sports or socialise. Get out as much as you can. Don't deprive yourself of enjoyment but make sure you don't PMO

I appreciate the tips. Being an introvert makes it really easy to home home to 'recharge' at the end of a day. Maybe I should take up a habit of doing some work outside when the weather warms up.
