I've been a part of the NoFap community for about a year now, and although I've made about 3 attempts or more to quit masturbation, my last streak lasted about a month and now not masturbating has become more of a habit and things have become much easier. As I've been self-developing in the meantime, I've read articles about semen retention but I still have not found the answer to this question - Is masturbation unhealthy for you?
I've asked users on this forum before if not masturbating was unhealthy or not and most have said that excess sperm or semen is released through wet dreams or urine, and that there is nothing to worry about. But after doing some research, there are some articles that suggest that not masturbating enough can lead to the calcification of sperm/semen in the prostate gland, and that makes me worried :(
This is an example of one (https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-health-effects-if-any-of-ceasing-to-masturbate) (OP's post is the main concern for me)
For now I will continue to abstain from masturbation and especially pornography, although I really would appreciate some advice on whether or not abstaining from masturbation is unhealthy.
