My first day(again) to begin a new life without porn

    Hello I am a guy from Amsterdam, i fap everyday. I am addicted to porn since i was 13 or 14, now i am 24, and i want to change my life, it is always like other people have more pleasure in their lives, I feel like I am bored with almost everything in my life,i have wide interest tough, I love football, practise martial arts, I love cooking..but after I have done these things there is allways time to fap! and then I feel that my dopamine level is like 4-5 (from 10) I read all this things on reddit-nofap so I thought maybe this is the reason why I am feeling like this.

    I tried it several times to stop, I think over 30 times now, my record is 21 days, (when I was travelling in Indonesia and when I was not bored with my life) but when I get in my daily routine, Work, household and that kind of stuff I wait until my girlfriend sleeps and I visit a lot of pornsites to escape.

    The thing is I tried it so many times and it did not work, it is very easy here in Amsterdam to be seduced (sex shows etc.) and I have a iphone with mobile porn and internet at home, so I always collapse and I feel guilty after my short time of pleasure.

    PLEASE, do somebody have tips how to avoid watching porn and fap? because I get desperate .

    My recommendation is using OpenDNS family shield which blocks every popular porn websites automatically. You don't even need to set up/register or anything. Just point your DNS server in your router to 208.67.222.123 and 208.67.220.123 then you are all set.

    Hmm...iPhone Mobile porn...maybe delete all the adult related apps? Also erasing all the porn in your computer and storage device is a good start. Clear out your browser bookmarks then reset your browser history will also prevent you from visiting porn again.

    Whenever you get the urge to watch porn and fap just do 20 situps or push ups and your heart will be pumping and you will most likely forget about the urge. Remember to always stay strong. You can do this!

    you know I can block it as hard as I can, but there is always a way to reset the settings, maybe it blocks the porn on the browsers, but it doesn't block the porn that I can download, at the end there is always a way to watch porn I believe, it is just the willpower to not do it, what I see that is that a lot of people advice me to work out if I feel the urge to watch porn, I will definitely try this.

    You are right about the blocking, if you are smart you will find a way. This is why some are disconnecting from internet totally. But even then you have a TV....
    Yes it is about willpower, but this habit has burned its ways in our brain... we have to reprogram it, thats thought!
    You have to brake the chain from the start. As soon as your brain is telling you "now its time, I need it, why not, its not bad...." DO SOMETHING TOTALLY DIFFERENT (you have to find out what), don't argue, dont think I will look only 5 minutes... if you start you are lost...
    DONT GIVE UP .... fight back, its not how many time you fall (and you will fall), but how many you stand UP. This addiction wants US to stay DOWN for ever!

    I fell down hard yesterday after 6 days, it feels terrible and it was totally not worth it. It gives me strength for now,

    A question about re-programming; how many days does it take to reprogram? If it is possible by the way

    I cant tell you about re-programming, how long it will take. But I am sure we can do it.

    O.k. you did decide to do this marathon.... you did start, you stumble, you did fall. It hurts. This time I am at your height, I grab you hand, I pull you up. Stand first, take a breath. Lets start slow walking, then normal walking. Analyce what you did wrong, decide what you want to do next time avoiding the trap (jump higher to avoid the obstacle)! When the pain is gone, RUN with the speed you can do, we have a long way in front of us....
    Next time someone other will help you stand up... or you will see someone other stumble and fall, or me lay on my nose... hope then you will stop and give help...
