    A Question.

    1. Has anybody experienced more creativity on nofap?

    2. And if so, when did it start?

    3. Has anybody had less creative success after nofap?

Absolutely. My confidence level was in the toilet when PMO. My creativity in every area of my life waned. Artistic, relational, logistic and the list goes on and on. I am a creative and I just had no clue that PMO was literally trashing my expression. But like I said, even relational creativity. When you are meeting new people and making new friends you have to draw from your creative nature. And when I was doing PMO I had a hard time not walking in continual shame. And I think that shame transferred into my art too. I could show you pre and post work and you can see the difference notably.

What kind of creativity are you describing here? What expression are you looking to improve?

By the way I am on day 81 of a 90 day reboot hardmode.

Hey thanks for the responses guys.

I am a songwriter. But I’m multi instrumental so I write and record entire songs. And I just noticed on my first 10 days there was a lacking in my creativity. But it wasn’t because of a bad reason. Funny enough I was just too hyper focused and had too much energy to sit down and be creative. So I was wondering if that would continue to conflict with my creativity.

    Congratulations on your streak!

It doesn't shock me you would have less creativity. You have to find your creative space in this no porn reality. The clarity and focus you get when coming out of the cloud can be disconcerting to our artistic expression. We have been working against something, no we need to find the new baseline to create from.

    Thank you for your encouragement!

It seems any addiction is the opposite of creativity, since you just want more of that one thing you're addicted to.

Because of that, and not to nit pick over semantics I think creativity is not so easily measured as "more." I mean even great artists have dry periods and it isn't a straightforward productivity thing right?

But of course once you're over the withdrawal I'd imagine you have a clearer mind and that creative spark can shine more easily.
