Hi there! (English isn't my native language, sorry for any mistakes!)
I'm currently having a streak of 14 days without P&O, (PROUD!) but I can't seem to quit with m easily since i've been doing this when i was even younger then the age of 5. (I started porn at the age of 13, and well, the porn got more violent by time...)
I like to edge, and I know this is bad so I try to cut out M as well but it's so hard!
That's why I started this journal, I hope when I post this day by day journal, it will get more easy by time.

since I'm not doing very much a day during this holiday, I think of pmo well... let's say alot.
I have to say that I thought I didn't have an addiction until I tried to stop watching p&o for let's say a week. That's when things started to get real hard for me.
But that's not the only reason why I'm here, I want to enjoy rl sex more, I feel like I can't get really aroused..? So i really hope this helps :(
Therefor my question, has any of you had problems with getting O in rl sex? and if so, did Nofap work for you?

Well, thank you for reading

    Welcome!
Let the journey to recovery begin! It will not be easy and it will take lots of patience and determination but you can do it. You will glad you did when you start noticing the good results. Stay strong! :)

Welcome, 14 days is great! Congratulations! And to answer your question, yes, I used to have some problems to get aroused but just a couple times... after doing NoFap for a while my sexual life improved a lot but I feel I still need to heal a lot of things.

I think it's good that you're trying to quit PO, but try to stop the edging or try to stay longer periods of time without doing it because you're walking on a thread there.

I wish you good luck and congrats agaim for the 14 days, you're doing great!

Thanks! I'm glad to hear you have improved, that also gives me more motivation. ^^
And yes I agree! I have reset my counter to 0, and I will also go without M now. I believe that'll help me more.

Hey Misa , I am 18 , I am fapping and watching porn since I was 13 . I am Fighting my addiction since 2 years now.
Leaving porn at first lowers libido for sometime but after about 28 days you will be normal . It is because brain tries to rebalance by changing bulkiness of d2 receptors and this change is non linear. I reckon you to download Reboot app (pink logo) it helps you in no pmo and also tells about brain science and other good things. I downloaded it 5 days ago. It is awesome.
By the way I am on my 30th day n horny again.
Don't worry you will also be fine

    Have a good day

heey, Thanks for the tip! I'm downloading the reboot app now~
Also, I noticed my libido got up the first 3 days without P, and now it actually slows down a bit, so I think I'll be fine!
btw congrats with your streak! :emoji_blush:

I just want to add my opinion on the apps. I tried it (Reboot) and liked it. I even paid, because at some point It aint free anymore. I dont use it anymore though. But it still a good app.

Lately I'M using Fap Control advice. It is So very simple. But yet I like it. Just bits of information depending on different moments you face Porn thoughts. I put a reminder to read at least 1 square of information per day to keep the info fresh in mind.

I also strongly suggest you read more about the science of porn and addiction. The website and the very convenient book of YouBrainOnPorn are 2 very good options.

Finally, I find that reading and answering threads on NoFap is my Biggest Help in Porn Urges. I come here and start reading and after a while, the urge passes. If you're looking for a Alert app, Their Panic Button app is the best in my opinion, though I prefer the forum.

I also have FapWatch, for the counter and the milestone. But My principal counter is on NoFap.

    keep going everyone.

    - Day 5 without PMO - Day 19 without P&O -

    I'll post a little update here~
Yess 5 days without m! first 2 days- it was hard, I actually catched myself with my hand in my pants before I even realised what I was doing. (that almost went wrong). Now as I was playing a game and some kind of dude had an gangbang set as his profile picture, that didn't help either. I just rage quit the game and stared at a blanc wall. And somehow I managed to get rid of the thoughts.
I have to say that some days were easy! I wasn't alone, I notice that when I'm alone and bored, I think of it way too easy, but when I'm with people that can also just dissapear!
I don't really notice a lot benefits now, but the one I do notice is that I think of P wayy less then I used to, so I guess that's a good thing!
    I'll keep this post updated!

Give it a bit more time! And dont let successes let down your guard!

In my experience, learning to manage my thoughts is a key. That sounds obvious. But I mean, like you did by staring at the wall, I try to learn to be okay with not doing anything. I try to practice my brain to stay calm and not trying to fill the void by doing first thing that comes in mind. (things like Headspace will help. But Plainly doing nothing, or just listening to music with nothing else also). After a while (could be a long while) normal motivation appears. I call this Understimulation!

By the way, good job on the Rage quit! Stupid Profile pic...
