This is something that always has plagued me, even when Im not involved in real PMO. How do you deal with all the images that are ingrained in your head? Not internet stuff, but real. Ex girlfriends, hookups etc. Ive had lots of sexual partners and am having a hard time not thinking about them, especially now that im not viewing porn. My mind is searching for it somewhere and has plenty to pull from.
    Any thoughts or advice?

As you continue through your reboot, your addiction will continue to look for stimulation. In an effort to get around your defenses it will look for loopholes in your resolve. It takes a lot of mental discipline to keep steering your thoughts away from sexually stimulating memories.

One key that helped me was to always have something interesting nearby to do, read, or ponder. You need something to feed your mind that is healthy. Think of being on a diet but always having junk food around... it's natural to feel hungry so having healthy options nearby helps you stay on your diet. Start a hobby, find a series of books to read, or work on a project around the house.

Don't forget the ice cold showers. It is absolutely critical for developing that pre-frontal cortex discipline as opposed to giving into the limbic system.

Agree with this. Even just having something that you know will occupy your mind fully always ready - then if you find your thoughts going in a bad direction think of that. For me it's usually a technical problem - how to solve something or understand some new techniques. Could be hobby related or work or whatever. I have a hobby project that I haven't even started that I plan in my head. As long as it fills your head, takes all your concentration.

The other thing many people recommend is meditation. Never really been in to it myself but I did get the headspace app and have tried some. The basic techniques from there can be helpful for clearing your mind and grounding yourself. I haven't got further than the very basics yet.
