Maybe I just have performance anxiety?

I read gary wilsons book your brain on porn and in it he says to see if you can ejaculate with porn then later try to ejaculate without porn. He then says " If #3 is strong and solid, but you have trouble with a real partner, then you probably have anxiety-related ED. " I just tried 2 and 3 and was able to ejaculate to both in under 6 minutes or so. So does this mean I have just performance anxiety? A few weeks ago I had sex with my girlfriend every day for about a week for long periods of time, upwards of 5-6 hours. Not always penetration but some oral and other things mixed in. But I never was able to ejaculate. But I was able to maintain an erection with ease during the whole time we had sex even during that long 5 hour session. I was also on an antidepressant during this time which I'm no longer on.

I am wondering if you guys think maybe my issues are just performance anxiety since according to gary wilsons test thats what it must be?

Edit: it was my first time having sex as well.

Depending on the anti-depressants or other medications (like Propecia for hair loss) I have have delayed ejaculations when having sex and didn't affect me when using porn. When I stopped the medication it help but eventually then came back over the coming months.

I can't speak to whether it is performance anxiety or if it is porn induced. The way I knew it wasn't performance anxiety for my situation was that I didn't feel nervous or anxious and had to fantasize about porn to finish. Also sex didn't feel as good as it did before even without condoms... there was little sensation other than oral which even then became difficult.

My problem was over use of porn and desensitization to actual sex and possibly some nerve damage that comes from years hours of self abuse and masturbation.

I would try staying away for porn and masturbation and see if things start to improve. There really isn't any good that comes out of using porn and the more you use it the worse the symptoms can be.

  3. Antidepressants can be bad. I couldn't come at all on P.a.x.i.l, not even using porn.

With Lexapro, I could only come by myself, with porn.

I was on anti-depressants for a while and tried many with varying levels of success. It always affected my performance in bed but only delayed my porn usage which at the time I didn't mind because it meant more time with the drug of choice.

The one thing that has seemed to work for me a combination of refraining of porn/masturbation and working on my fitness.

Despite the withdrawal symptoms and loneliness of NoFap I generally feel much better. Looking back at my life and porn use I believe that porn was the cause of my depression as I started feeling numb to every other pleasure in life except the one my brain wanted.
