Many years ago I went through a period if time that I wanted to do so but the farthest I actually went was while driving in a hwy. At that time I was going through great anxiety and frustation, family and work related, but when things eased down those thoughts faded away.

At work, library, driving, in the woods, in the ocean, on boats, can't recall at the moment if I did it in a church, but I remember doing it behind one (sorry)

In college I challenged myself to masturbate in every building on campus . . . I succeeded. That included masturbating in class a couple of times.

But the only time I really got caught was when I was hiking and did it in front of a lake. I thought I was in a pretty secure place. Had a backpack on and all sorts of hiking gear, pants down around my legs. I figured that I would hear someone coming down the trail but all of a sudden a guy on a bike came flying around the corner and screeched to a halt right in front of me!

I've been reading a lot about masturbation addiction. This is one of the clearest indicators. Compulsive masturbation. Doing it so much for so long that it becomes a need that can't be resisted - i.e. not being able to wait until you get home or to a more suitable place.

I've looked at porn thrice since January 2021. Porn is not my addiction. Masturbation is. Porn was just a tool to feed or enhance my masturbation experience.

Anyone else feel that masturbation is their main addiction? Oddly, I find more women that admit to masturbation addiction than men - though men will say that their addicted to porn and we all know what they're doing when they're looking at porn.

Has anyone found good resources specifically for masturbation addiction??

 

My main addiction is masturbation. More than porn, which is just part of the excitement at it all. I have been masturbating since I was twelve. Now I am in my late 60s. I have joined this platform, NoFap. to see if I can move away from masturbation. If anyone has good ideas I look forward to reading them. Someone in the post above said maybe women have this prob am more. I just dont know. I will become a different person if I am able to quit Masturbation & my need for Orgasm. Actually, I do not masturbate in dangerous places. Not at all. Maybe I did when I was younger, in my 30s and 40s. ☐ n- now I just wasteso mine time in the evenings, am sometimes luring work. I really haven't jacked-off in a lot of public places. I once did it at an empty baseball field, at the gym and also on the rooftop of my gym, twice. It's been awhile since those times, and doing it in a public, or risky, place doesn't appeal to me anymore. And I've done the "house tour": this is when you have to jack-off in every room in the house in a 24hr period. This includes any walk-in closets, mud-rooms, attics, and any enclosed garage. Hm yes, maybeeee. I wouldn't call it an addiction. It's my main concern rather. Addiction is, in my eyes, something that causes problems, not something that I just cannot stop. But I am astonished how hard it is just not to do it.

Many years ago I was strolling around a hilltop at night. It was at full moon. It was a nearly magical scene. I got strongly aroused, took off my clothes and walked around naked.
