OK I know this site is about PMO. I'm slightly different I feel porn isn't good however haven't quite got to the part where I don't masturbate. However I find doing it with thoughts aline crap. Does it get better anyone else had this experience just would like some opinions please and what other have experience. Thanks!

  2. Welcome here! Everyone is different, and everyone's journey to health is different. So find what works for you. I was also hesitant to give up M. But if you find that you can't achieve O without some sort of P imagery in your head, you should probably consider stopping the M altogether, at least for a rebooting period.

But mainly, welcome here, and welcome to a super supportive and encouraging community! Stay positive, and all the best to you! :)

  3. That's the damage we've suffered, when we cannot masturbate without bringing up fantasies or porn to excite us. Eventually it gets so that even if you're with the hottest woman in the world, you can't get it up without dissociation into unreality. If you can masturbate without those images and focus on the moment and the sensations and the pleasure involved, and if that works, then I don't think there's any harm done by occasional masturbation. Most of us here, though, are past that point in our sexual health. But it's up to you to decide the right course of action for your own journey. :)

We must get out of the wank mindset and lifestyle, otherwise you're just another wanker.

I know in my case that if I allow myself M, then I will eventually fully relapse to P. Every time. So I had to cut M out of my life entirely, which isn't easy, and I'm still working on it (obviously). But in my opinion it's just better not to do it.

Not sure I totally agree. Everyone has natural fantasy, that's normal and OK. As long is its not like porn I don't feel it will have a negative effect.
