I'm no longer using long-term chastity, only for real life play. But I do think it goes against the NoFap philosophy. Who am I to speak though, since I now see NoFap somewhat as a mental chastity fetish. Doing my best to beat this addiction...

I know a lot of folks have really been tough on you. But I find the chastity tube to be very effective at preventing masturbation. They work best if you have a partner to hold the key--either in reality or virtually. (such as online accountability partner keyholder)

I don't agree with the "only use your will-power" approach. I'm not against the use of a chastity device if that helps. I'm using a porn-blocker which has definitely been helping me. Addiction negatively impacts the frontal lobe of our brain, which is the area that is involved with decision-making and judgement. So if we only rely on will-power, we are relying on a damaged brain faculty and setting up for failure. It's OK to find a way to compensate for that damaged faculty and buy yourself time for it to heal

 

You may need a smaller base ring. What brand did you buy?

It's very useful to get the fit exactly correct. Then you can wear for extended periods of time. As well, be sure to use supportive underwear......even a jockstrap.

 

Yes. I use the CB6K S. I can wear it for about 5 days, then must come off for cleaning and what not.....
But that's when I am most vulnerable. In fact, the longer I go, the better I feel about myself. Sort of proud.

 

The bulge is nearly invisible. I don't believe anyone has ever noticed it while out in public. I have even given speeches wearing one in front of a crowd. It's our own self-consciousness that bothers us...not the imaginary bulge. I even forget I am wearing it.....except when I have to go to the bathroom....THAT'S a pain in the rear.

 

How so what? The bathroom? You pretty much have to pee while sitting down. No big deal at home, but out in public a clean toilet is difficult to find. Now I know what the poor women must go through.

I was using a chastity device to begin with too, but (for me) I want to do it through mental chastity instead, it was too uncomfortable and I'm trying to get out of the mindset of making NoFap a fetish itself, and I think it's working. I think it's ok to use a chastity device, but try to avoid making it a fetish, I'm being a bit of a hypocrite because I was once doing it, but in the long run, I think that should be the ultimate goal (the more honest I begin to be with myself). My mind is always tricking me into saying everything is ok and I can control myself and the situation and etc...

Also, be careful with shaming yourself (little below average, so sad, so pathetic) and try to avoid it, it could definitely be a trigger. Shame is usually a trigger for PMO
