I first looked at porn shortly after getting an internet connection, I was 12 at the time.

I'm now 30 so it's been part of my life for most of my life.

I've had periods when I haven't looked at it (a 6 month period and a 3 month period recently) but have never gone more than 2 months (my record!) without masterbating.

I tend to look at it maybe once or twice a week but find it is linked heavily to masterbation, which if I do leads almost certainly to looking at porn; the two seem to be linked in my mind.

Anyway, I'm now 30 and live with a girlfriend, I've been looking at porn/masterbating to; get back to sleep, relieve boredom and stress and to feel wanted/desired.

When I think back the habit first started around the time I was getting bullied in school, it took me out of my world into another.

I'm no longer a skinny, short kid; in fact I'm tall and reasonably built...yet the habit remains.

I'm serious about kicking the habit now, hence this post, which is the first time I've ever spoken about it.

I'm hoping that by removing this from my life, I can open space in my mind that can be filled with more positive ideas and moments.

    Good-luck all,

    Luke

Thanks for speaking up about it man, it has been really hard for me to tell anyone as well. I just relapsed this morning and am trying to be honest with myself about what caused me to. It's definitely true that masturbation is linked to our porn use - any erotic stimuli for that matter.

No worries, I would say try to spend less time alone and try to get up quickly when you wake up in the mornings.
