Looking at harmless media like a porn addict

Discussion in 'Porn Addiction' started by Deleted Account, Nov 19, 2017.

  1. Not sure why I never noticed this before but I recently realized after consistently relapsing after watching a silly harmless english comedy series on netflix called "death in paradise" that I am in a low level porn-mode when watching media with attractive women in them, even if they are not overtly sexual. My eyes are basically glued to their body parts. It's as if I am watching porn. I'd only stare at a woman like that in real life if she were a prostitute I was going to buy services from. It suddenly struck me how bizarre this behavior is and how it is part of this detached interaction with the world through the barrier of media.

On the street, in real life, I have a tendency to self-trigger and let my eyes roam over hot women.. but I am more discreet and conscious of it. And I work not to do it. But somehow I only deliberately avoid overtly sexual stuff when watching media... I never realized I am in pig-mode with more innocent stuff.
