So i was on snapchat and all of a sudden this girl that i know from my school had appeared in my face and although I'm in the flatline I somehow got an erection, my heart was beating fast and this lasted about 25 seconds.

The girl was not even close to being nude, she just wore tight clothing. Relapse?

If so, I fucked up big time Because I will have to throw away a 26/27 day streak for nothing. What do you guys think?

Do you think alot of dopamine was released?

  2. Tbh I wouldn't consider that a relapse, just a close call

as long as you don't give in to any urges you should be fine. if you found the picture erotic then yes, there was some abnormal dopaminergic release, but its up to you whether you want to throw away your streak. imho you can only do that by masturbating, which i recommend you do not, and then you are golden.

No way a relapse don't throw your streak away. Things like this will pop up from time to time. But its how we behave when we see them. Did u pmo? No. Did u mo. No. You noticed it was a trigger an turned it off. I would say that is a pat on the back and a huge achievement.

Well done. Also u might want to think about stopping social media. It dosnt help anything. Not just pmo addiction it dosnt help anything

Thanks for the feedback but I consciously looked it it closed it and looked once more and felt my heart beat going really fast.

I don't wanna reset but it feels wrong....

Honestly, it really depends because I feel that if you decided to look at that picture and couldn't abstain from it then it definitely is a relapse what matters was the intention. I feel that people need to be much harder on relapses because everyone does this dance where they do something that doesn't "count" but, then progresses into more in the future. This is just based on my experiences. As well as, I feel that doing this for a counter defeats the entire purpose of starting we quit because we wanted to be better. Overall, probably shouldn't count because that picture was out of the blue and not your request and you closed it so, good job bud.

And yeah good point, might have to delete social media once again
Thanks man, totally agree alot of people are doing it only for the counter and take nofap quantitatively rather that focusing on bettering themselves as person, oh and by the way it was a video but it really was quite casual and discrete far from nude. But I'm not going to play any more games now - no more P-Subs that's it. If I'm going to heal myself, I'm going to have to do it the right way.

Yeah thats definitely the right outlook to accomplish this as I had this problem for years I can acclaim that rationalizing bullshit will make it so you never accomplish your goals. Honestly, for me I consider just the attempt of looking for exotic content as relapse because everytime I did this shit and didn't do anything about it I always went back to porn. However, I believe in you and just keep being strong be proud of what you accomplished and know that better things will come from abstaining.

No it's just a slip-up man. It happens to all of us. And you didn't even look for it intenitonally.

See it as a practice of a very important skill: To let a slip-up or a strong arousal not become a relapse. That's very important.

    Have a nice day ;)
