Personally I like the idea of seeing more black girls in the media. I even like the idea of seeing more heavy set women in the media too of any race. Over weight women are rarely seen but they are realistic in today's society and real people.

 

Typing Asian into google is like opening Pandora's box.

I live in a country where everything and I mean EVERYTHING is super eurocentric, even though PLENTY of different nationalities live here. We're probably one of the most diverse, when it comes to inhabitants. Yet not in the media. I honestly can't remember when I saw a commercial with a black / brown dame, for example. And when I do, it's some L'Oreal make-up commercial or some such. It's quite annoying being a minority that's never represented in the media here. I imagine it's at least a lot more common to see brown folks in the media in the States.
