Just over the 30 day mark! And I feel great. Success Story

Having struggled with porn and masturbation for years I feel like a whole different person.

Background:
I was introduced to porn at the age of 12. I only started masturbating when I was 13. Since then I've tried to stop countless times but all to no avail. My mind was always filled with guilt and shame. I was raised in a very religious household so I knew porn was bad. My dad even found out through the browser history. He read me some bible verses hoping it would help me. After that the only thing I learnt was that I should always use the browser on incognito mode.

Journey:
The longest time before this without PMO was last year in December. It wasn't my intention, it just happened. As soon as I was back at school I relapsed. I used porn the same way people used drugs; to get away from reality, to escape from the troubles of life, to deal with depression

Something hit me in November. The No But November challenge gave me courage to try and stop. I even tried it with my friends as a way to motivate ourselves and to compete with each other. I only got serious towards the end of the month around 18 November. I felt good after the 7 days. Then 14. And as I went on it became a habit. Whenever I knew I was going to relapse I would start searching up images of clothed female bodies. Sooner or later I would not be satisfied anymore then I end up relapsing. I banned myself from searching up any image except memes. I got an app called Fap watch to keep track of my progress. All my friends don't believe I've gone this far but I'm proud of myself

Benefits:
My mental attitude towards women is changing. Instead of seeing them as bodies in existence only to satisfy my needs I see females as human beings with feelings and moral values. Porn makes it seem as if you go and have sex with any girl you see. It removes any emotional attachment on people.

I now have time to do more things like art, photography, music and learning about Forex trading. I still do think of watching porn for one last time but I always realise that the benefits of quitting porn by far outweigh the cons. The sexual tension and energy pushes you to do other things. Exercise is another activity I've used to replace my bad habits


To my fellow companions in this battle with me, do not give up. Do not let a relapse get you down. Remember; ever
