Hi guys!! How's it going? My name is James and I'm a current student at Southern New Hampshire University while working full-time as a Wireless Team Member at Target. I'm starting nofap because I just really want to kick the habit of masturbating and looking at porn. It's certainly a bad habit and I'm looking forward to making it a thing in the past. I have tried many times, relapse, but I'm certainly ready for a change to focus more on my job, schoolwork, and build better relationships for myself. I have done many self-improvement goals this year and I want this to be one of them. I'm also going to post on here as well as start a paper version of this journal as well. That way, I can keep something by my bedside in case I get the urge to write about how I'm feeling throughout my journey. Hopefully, doing this will certainly drive my confidence up and improve my self worth. If you guys have any tips or questions on what I can do to make this worth a while, let me know. Here's to a new and improve self!

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

The enemy is here to steal, kill and destroy. What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

Sorry about the late reply D.J. Just had to really give that question a lot off thought as I'm going through my day 5 process. My current strategies as of right now are to:

-Keep my hands and mind busy at times when I'm at the computer. This will prevent me from even thinking about porn or masturbation.
-Concentrate more on my school work, which will keep my mind busy. Working towards my bachelors.
-Practice more on the instruments that I'm playing. Like my drums and bass.
-Hit the gym as both a stress reliever and to fight urges.
    - Use a fidget spinner to keep my hands occupied.
Those are some of the strategies that I've been using so far as I reach towards day 6.

Keep that up! Pornography is sneaky and malicious so don't let it catch you off-guard. It is a non-stop struggle but don't give in to the pressure. Freedom awaits us

I honestly was having a really tough day after work today and I just couldn't hold it anymore. I happened to relapse a couple of hours after I got home. I made it 8 days in a row and I couldn't be more proud, but at the same time, I feel truly disappointed in myself for letting myself go like that. This mistake has definitely made me realize that I shouldn't just give up on myself when I'm at my lowest like I was. I will reset my streak and hope for the best. During the 8 days though from rebooting was definitely an energy changer and definitely want that positive energy back and to put it into a healthier habit like walking, running, exercising, and not beat myself down like I did tonight. Have a great night guys!
