One of the best things we can possibly do is to keep ourselves busy. The brain can only think of one thing at a time. Fill your days with as many good, healthy behaviors as possible. Make yourself a list of your hobbies, things you like to read, activities you enjoy doing like watching (non-triggering) movies and shows. Include your schoolwork, and even your house chores. Spending quality time with friends and family are excellent and healthy too. If you’re like the rest of us, you probably blew off people close to you and we need to repair these relationships. Write down things you're passionate about, your goals and dreams. Never give up on your passions, cultivate your dreams. Our addictions stole our dreams & everything that matters to us - or in time it will rob you and us of all of it.

Boredom causes relapses more than anything. Have you watched any of Noah Church's YouTube videos? He's awesome, knows his stuff, talks a lot about boredom. His website is: https://addictedtointernetporn.com/?author=1

Have you seen the Gary Wilson one: "Your Brain on Porn: How Internet porn affects the brain"? Check it:

It's the single most important video of all. Gary is a researcher who has studied porn addiction for some time and he describes the neuroscience of the addiction mechanism in the brain. The way porn addiction works is exactly the same way that alcohol and drug addiction work, but the “hit” or “high” from porn is many times stronger than heroin. His website is: https://www.yourbrainonporn.com

Let us help you. All the best.....

I read that you stopped yourself when doing a bad online search, & that’s really gr8 you pulled yourself out before relapsing. Make a list of things you do to prevent PMO & get them embedded in your brain so you can respond quickly when you’re on dangerous ground. We learn to add many tools like these to our “tool belt” we wear at all times.

@isaacreboot turned me on to making a Daily Resolutions list of healthy stuff I do, it’s an amazing tool I use daily. He posts a new one in his journal daily, I do mine daily too but I haven’t started a journal here…… yet, lol. But here is mine, feel free to copy & make one of your own.

    My Daily Resolutions

    Daily Resolutions:
    Go to Sleep before 12pm
    Read daily spiritual meditations
Do homework once arriving from school
    Don't procrastinate
    Continue to eat healthy
    Go to gym
    Sing/work on performance pieces/do research
    Practice Piano
    Write jazz music and other
    Work on my Dream Board
    Research/learn something new
    Pray several times/day
    Meditate several times/day
    Read books I’m interested in
Edit photos (I collect art photos)

day 2 was a success. i was able to not even think about relapsing today and i just simply watched some tv,done homework and decided to read a book. also, i tried really hard to not eat a lot today and i managed to only go about 30 calories above my allowed amount which is good. bye.

Nice job! It's really great to hear you want to stop PMO at this very young age! Most kids your age probably don't think about doing NoFap. I'm looking forward to your progress!

I’m so happy you find it useful! Hit me up anytime. There’s no such thing as a stupid question. The only stupid thing is NOT to ask questions.

To the extent that you’re willing to be vulnerable and reach out for help, that’s how you open yourself up to learning and growing. I’m so blown away by you and your unwillingness to stay stuck in your addiction, I’ll do anything to help you. Helping you helps me. I can’t keep my recovery unless I’m willing to give it away.

Day 3: today was a bit harder than i had expected, I was looking for some brutal exercises on YouTube and when i scrolled down i saw some thumbnails with women's pictures so i immediately just stopped searching for new workouts and just went to the the ones i was previously doing. when i went there, their was one of those perfume ads and i couldn't skip it.then, in the ad, the man and women started getting touchy and all.so then i crossed the tab straight away-to prevent me relapsing. Then i went to ad preferences, tried changing my ad preferences but the process seems a little too complicated so i left it that way, but only for now.
but in the end, day 3 was a success as all the things i did see, were not by intention and i was thankfully able to refrain from returning to my habits which, hopefully, all only lived in my past . Good Bye.

Good job. Write down/remember how you gave up your workout search & took the easy way out.

Keep trying to change your ad preferences, you'll figure it out.

day 5:i ended up relapsing and i felt terrible. then i woke up and turns out it was just a dream.
then, through out the day there were many temptations where things would show up in my laptop but my dream/nightmare ,throughout today, was a constant reminder of how relapsing would only make me feel angry and sad afterwards. goodbye.
