    Hey all,
I’m not much of a joiner but this is clearly the right place to be.
I stopped P 3 weeks ago but am now amping up to P&M because I’m still not reaching orgasm with my new(ish) partner.
    I started looking at porn age 14 (father’s playboys) now I’m 56.
Use of porn has increased steadily over time as relationships have evolved and ended. Finally see it became addictive and detrimental to many (most?) parts of my life.
Humbled, unsure I can ever reverse the effects of lifelong habit.

Thank you! I believe I can; I have to try. But it's daunting. Yes, I finally see that porn is utterly pernicious, but it seems only one of many unhealthy vehicles to excessive levels of dopamine. At least for me!

I've been reading a lot in the forums. The wisdom and work of so many (like yourself) is inspiring. Not sure where to go from here on NOFAP site, other than to begin a journal. Is the 40+ forum the place for that?

BTW, we have more than a few things in common, not least a teenage child who has gotten into serious trouble. So very painful, I'm sorry to learn of your situation and the burden you bear. And christmas, ugh; I try and try, but it's a heavy time for me since my parents parted angrily & violently on christmas eve years ago. Hang in there, friend; you can do this too!

Thanks again for your encouragement and inspiration, GP61!

Yes that's a good place to start a journal. Thanks for sharing about your child. We can do this my friend!
