hi i am a 17 year old male and i was wondering is sex really worth the time and effort of finding and being with a girl as i read successful athletes abstained from sex because it made them weak? i am still in the processes of rebooting and was talking to a girl couple months back but i got the friend zone vibe from her so left her. after looking and researching mgtow i started to come to the conclusion sex isn't really worth it and i should just focus on my own well-being. what is your opinion on this?

Sex is overrated. Only worth it if your in love with that person. Otherwise it is boring and waste of energy.

true i should just focus on myself atm. my goal ATM is go a year pmo free and just become a better overall person but the temptations and urges are what a struggle with but i started to take cold showers which has helped a lot. also the girl that i mentioned we connect on a deep personnel level and she is beautiful but when i asked her out on a date she said she doesn't want a relationship right now. should i move on?

The only reason for sex is/should be propagation. All other sex-related actions are just for fun and can/should be omitted.
Because if you sacrifice the short term pleasure, you will enjoy the rewards in the long term.

"Not interested in a relationship right now" Probably with 95% accuracy means she isn't attracted to you in that way of wanting you give the D to her. But you probably gonna take it as raincheck and keep trying.

I have had that happen with two women that I was friends with. I kept pushing the issue and they said eventually said "I don't find you sexually attractive, Don't you get it?". One looked at me also and said while were walking "I don't want.. you on me".. Since then I've learned just stop immediately and take the hint becuase women speak in code words. lol

Some other ones, like if a woman doesn't answer a text for awhile, she might say "oh sorry lost my phone" yeah bullshit lol. "I have a boyfriend right now". "I'm on my period", "Sorry couldnt' make that date, someone died I had to go to a funeral" etc lol

I had heard these all to me :(
Perhaps it is better to be alone for me anyway.

It is worth it with someone who you love. I would say it is important to work on yourself and have your things straight like your financial situation and your career for example than just worry about chasing pussy.

thanks. most people my age just have pussy on the minds everyday but get carried away by lust. oh and i stopped talking to that girl and considered her a friend really as i think she see's me in that way. this was the first girl i ever talked to in a relationship way this was when i was on 3 month pmo streak and my confidence just sky rocketed to the point i felt i could talk to any girl. when i asked if she had a boyfriend she said yes but this was after i asked her out (rookie mistake), when i ask her out she said 'only as friends' which i knew what that meant :( but didn't want to seem like a douche so took her out had fun then went are on ways a week or to later ask if she still had a boyfriend she said 'no' at this point i decided to not take it any further. and a week later i relapsed.

No, I LITERALLY took a year off men from April 2015 until April 2016 for several reasons.

Sometimes it's NOT an excuse. Sometimes it's NOT you and it really IS her. She might be hurting over things from the past for e.g.

(And yeah, sometimes it IS an excuse. But NOT ALWAYS!)

Use your sexual energy into being great and thrive from it do something good!!

I hope you find someone at the right time who you LOVE and make a connection with and make love. Sex is made to make you closer to your partner not just to nut inside and leave her.

Well the ones who said it to me, ive seen actively searching for a relationship with other man after rejecting me sometimes in a subtle manner but not always.

  12. Don't chase sex, it's not a worthy pursuit. Pursue becoming the best version of you and service to humanity. When you find someone you love and truly care about, commit to them and together you can grow into better people. Then sex can naturally follow.

Totally depends on the person. I have had sex twice and I didn't really want to do it either of those times. I just kind of went along because I figured that losing my virginity would change me somehow. It didn't and it made me feel worse about myself. Not only that, but it was empty and unfulfilling. It basically felt like jerking off instead of like connecting to someone. Whatever you do, let it be with someone you actually like.

At your age at least for me as a female I enjoyed sex but not anything like I do now at 39. It takes practice to know what you like, get comfortable with yourself, find a partner who knows what you like and enjoy. If I would have judged sex by the sex I had when I was your age I probably would have felt the same. It is worth it, just keep at it.

Finding someone you trust and feel comfortable with is VERY important. It will be a regretful experience if you choose to have a one-night stand with a random girl/guy. And believe me, everything is more fun when you truly care about the person.

I feel like the prospect of sex is a lot more exciting if I have a crush going for them and "emotional connection". It wasn't like that back when I was younger, any piece of ass if I knew them or not got me turned on. Or maybe its just the years of porn has desensitised me. Guess I'll find out after I reboot, if any of piece of ass I see turns me on again lol

I think the way foward is to abstain from anything sexual untill i find the right person which is hard these days cause most people my age are materilistic or would rather use there phones then talk in person:(:(

If sex stops being your priority then you will prioritize on more important things. Even if you are in a relationship your priorities might be to make each other happy, to go out and have fun, to sit, watch and enjoy a movie. If sex is a priority in your life every time you are with someone or meet someone, you will often just "Want to get it on already" so you don't enjoy anything else you do with that person.

This is why I think our reboot is so important, is to make ourselves capable of enjoying new things in life, and have sex be this thing you do now and then with your partner, which is great but, it's not what you anticipate every time you interact with someone.

I agree, sex weakens the flesh and mind.

Do you really want to be alone? Or do you want to change and become a man that a woman would want to be with? I am starting a book reading programme on NF and you are welcome to join. We are reading this:
