Edging is really bad. Edging trains your body and mind to expect and to need prolonged, often very intense, stimulation in order to reach O. That level of mental and physical stimulation doesn't happen with PIV relations. Guess what: when you attempt PIV, your body and mind don't receive the kind of stimulation it needs to O, instead your body responds with PIED and DE. Not good.
Edging does NOTHING good, so stop. Easier said than done, but it is certainly NOT impossible and very much worth every bit of effort required to stop this damaging activity.

My last relapse was a binge of three edging sessions in one day.
The first was before I took a shower after my morning workout.
That must have gone for about 20 minutes.
Then, before bed, I edged with porn on my smart phone.
I must have done that about an hour.
(It's amazing how time flies in the porn world.)
I couldn't sleep and got out of bed to edge more with porn on the computer screen.
That was for about 45 minutes.
All that scrambled my brain, and it was just as depleting as masturbating to full ejaculation.
Definitely, the effects of even a little edging on me are the same as PMO.
In a way, however, edging is a lesser evil.
That is not because of semen retention; the benefits of abstinence are lost in edging.
If I masturbate to completion, then the next week would be easy.
All of the tensions which lead to PMO would be dissipated, and I would not have any desire for PMO.
That is the easy way: to ejaculate so that you will not have much desire to masturbate for days.
By not ejaculating and only edging, the urges will hit again sooner and harder.
Then, I will have an earlier opportunity to practice dealing with them.
I need that practice.
