    Hey guys,

I had my first wet dream last night (I am 18 years old - is it weird that this is my first time considering my age?).

Does this count as a relapse? I am confused. On one hand, I went no where near my penis (I was asleep of course) and did not masturbate. On the other hand, when I awoke I realised that the dream I was having did contain a sexual scene and was actually pretty close to what I had watched in porn in the past. Does it count as a relapse as I allowed my mind to do this? But I was asleep, so I have no control, right?

Thanks for any thoughts you give

No, that is definitely not a relapse. You aren't in control of what you dream about (unless you're lucid dreaming). Wet dreams and sex dreams in general are a healthy part of human life. Don't beat yourself up over it, and move on. Good luck with your recovery!

  3. This is not a relapse and nothing to worry about. I am not sure if all guys have wet dreams. It would be interesting to hear if any guys have never had one. I had a few as an early teen, some around your age and also a few more early twenties. I wouldn't be surprised if I have another soon with this abstinence thing.
I have found myself setting myself up as in I mean I allow myself to have sexual and dirty thoughts as I am drifting off to sleep. I suppose if I was to have a wet dream I would feel partly responsible but as in your case you did not instigate it and it is something out of your control so nothing to worry about, just get your sheets washed and get on with your day!

No wet dream is not relapse but it will trigger chaser effect.
So you might encounter intense cravings for few days after wet dream.

  5. That makes sense, I suppose the occurrence of it is almost a turn-on!

Wet dreams means you have accumulated enough semen
    Which is a good thing
But it's better to get rid of wet dreams

Thanks for all your comments guys! It is a relief for me to know it is not a relapse and just something natural and nothing to worry about.

    Goodluck on your recoveries too!
