Introducing myself

Hi. I just joined after discovering your site (and a font of information ) when searching the internet for answers to my problem. I wish I had come across the research on the damaging effects of internet porn years ago. It might have saved my relationship which just ended a few days ago as a result of my hiding my addiction and lying about it. In a few days I have seen a therapist who specializes in this, signed up to attend sex addiction anonymous meetings and have now joined this site. I pray that all this proactive work will get me back to the normal and healthy individual I once was. I hope it gets my girlfriend back as well but I'm afraid I've betrayed her trust one too many times and she has had enough of me. I don't blame her.

Thank you very much! I hope I can work things out with her as well. Betrayal of trust is a damaging thing and I hope I haven't broken it to the point of not being able to repair it.
