    Hi folks:
I want to post a motivational video that @britaxe posted in his journal yesterday
I have started the day a bit down, but after listening to this video a couple of times, I felt super energized.
    These are my favorites parts:

"There is nothing as powerful as a change of mind
You can change everything else, but if you do not change your mind the same experiences will perpetuate over and over again because everything outwardly changes but nothing inside you changes
If you want to change something in your life , if there is some goal you want to reach, changing your behavior and overcoming negative habits is something challenging and hard.
The only thing that will make you happy is to step up , discover what you are capable and feel that incredible power pushing though wherever is holding you back, and get to the other side
How much time do you have left ? We do not know. Stop wasting valuable time, if you want something you have to be relentless
The ability to face sweat again and again without giving up is the power to endure, this is the winner quality. This power only becomes available when somebody is in that state of mind when he or she knows exactly what wants and is fully determined not to quit until they find it
You are unstoppable, love your life with passion
I've got what it takes. This is my day, and nothing out here is going to stop me"

Do not skip this one. IT IS AMAZING< if you have blood in your veins it will move something inside you, for sure

    Keep fighting

Wow @britaxe , this video is excellent too.
You can see how much ignorance thee is about porn addiction that some people in the crowd laugh at the beginning as if this were a funny stand up comedian. This is one of the big scams of our society: we think that porn is good and that is what "every guy does".

I took notes of some paragraph that touched my heart:

"I realized I was not using porn because it felt good. I came to view porn as a way to run away from pain and loneliness.
I was feeling bad and I can just turn on porn and I can forget the world, forget myself, forget my problems ; run away from everything and just lose myself for some moments .
I feel awake now, and being awake hurts but it also feels incredible.
Despite all the pleasure that you can get from porn, I do not have any cherished memories from watching porn. I indulged in fantasy all that time and I ran away from reality.
I feel more connected to every moment in my own life now and every moment is more powerful without porn.
I love my life so much now that I am not running away from my life anymore."

Thank you for sharing another great video

Very sad for sure. He was a great actor and seemed a very genuine guy off screen.

Yes, you are right, it takes guts to stand up in front of a crowd and speak out about this, right?

    Hey Fercho,
Thanks for posting the vid's. I have not seen the ones about the porn actresses. I have know this for some time and is a big reason for my strong porn. I wish I could say my no fapping has been constant, out has not. However I notice more and more the people in the video are not very happy and most looked pained. I saw a video in Jocks journal about the interview, it was quite sad. Thanks for point out the inhuman side of porn, it makes it real.
    Cheers

@fercho29 I think this song sums up lyrically about our struggles here.

The line "No telling how this will work out, but i've come too far to go back now" is key for me.

Slaves is what we are and freedom from mental slavery is what we are aiming for.

Hi @Stopitjack , I am glad you found this useful
Unfortunately , I heard in real life from another very famous gay porn star how they are being treated like slaves, forced to have sex any time with the owner of the studio, and forced to have sex without protection, he knew that the AIDS tests were fake and finally quit. The reason he was working as a porn star was that he came from a very poor family from Hungary and needed to feed his family. He was not even gay! It was such a heart- brokening story that made me realize for the first time that we contribute to this type of human slavery every time we click in a porn video. This was when I realized I needed to quit porn

This is a scene from a 1985 movie which was very popular when I was a teenager called "St Elmo's Fire". Those in +40 Forum probably has seen it ( you can see that is old seeing how young Rob Lowe and Demi Moore looked).

It was a typical teenagers movie, but I find this sentence a good description of what we do with PMO:

... "this isn't real. You know what it is? It's St. Elmo's Fire. Electric flashes of light that appear in dark skies out of nowhere. Sailors would guide entire journeys by it, but the joke was on them... there was no fire. There wasn't even a St. Elmo. They made it up. They made it up because they thought they needed it to keep them going when times got tough, just like you're making up all of this. We're all going through this. It's our time at the edge."

The trick here is to realize that our St. Elmo's Fire is not real, it is just what we created inside our heads to keep going when life is tough.

    Hope this helps you

I want to share this very interesting video that @WOTL posted in his journal.
If your brain is playing damn tricks during reboot like mine, perhaps you are experiencing these "storm of thoughts" when you are trying to sleep.
In my case, I get up every day at 4 AM and cannot get back to sleep, thinking about all the nasty things I did during my life as an addict.
I will give a try to this technique tonight, it is important for our recovery to have a good rest every night.

I want to highlight the following:

"Another aspect is guilt, which has to do with something one did to someone, or something that one failed to do and should have done.

The question is : who you were then? No human can act beyond of his level of conscious at that time. You acted like the awareness was not there to act differently. Now the awareness is there , and the awareness is who you truly are."

    Hope this helps

    Hi guys:
It was long since I do not post any new video.
I want to share this video with an interview to Gabe Deem from Reboot Nation. He is always very clear the way how he explains the addiction. Thank you @JaYBrieL for your excellent videos

Sorry, I am updating this post because I just realized the link was incorrect .This is a fun Ted Talks video about procrastination :

We addicts are huge procrastinators, this is why I chose to post it.
We all can relate to that stupid monkey which makes us do things that we know are against our best interest.
    Enjoy it

    Hi guys:
Several of you have probably heard about George Collins or have even read his book "Breaking the Cycle" about porn and sex addiction
I want to share this video with you, it is very useful those days that you feel you are losing this battle
Thanks to @goldstein for sharing it with me

    Keep on fighting
