I employed this trick at the gym today, and it actually helped me a lot. I usually jog up 10 floors on the stair stepper, and I can generally do about 5, maybe 6, on 100 (not sure what the measurement is... steps per second, maybe?) And then I have to rest for a few floors, then go back to 100 for the last two, doing 10 floors total.

Anyway, today I decided to count how many steps it takes to do one floor at 100 speed, and it was about 16. So I just counted 16 steps, then started over at 1 and counted 16 steps again, and I ended up being able to do about 8 or 9 floors at 100, which I've never been able to do before.

This quote has honestly helped me soooo many times. I can be a worrier sometimes, mostly about stuff that is very unlikely to happen, and this quite always comes to mind. It's so true. If you worry about something that hasn't happened yet and might never happen, you're just inviting suffering now instead of waiting until that thing actually happens to suffer about it.
