I'm now an AP - how can I successfully help others?

So I'm now an Accountability Parter for a couple of people. I feel very motivated to support my partners as best I can. Personally I feel hugely supported just being in this role where my success can inspire my partners and give them confidence that success is possible.

As this is my first experience in this role, I'd like to ask those seasoned APs a couple questions.

While acknowledging that everyone and every AP relationship is different, what have you found to work well for you, in your experience as an AP? Are there any general guiding principles you feel would be supportive for anyone doing this work?

What sort of responses have you found helpful when you or your partner relapses?
