My wife discovered that I was a porn addict and I never really knew it or anything. Sounds stupid but its never effected my life in anyway shape or form till now. I used to watch porn 5 to 6 times a day. I am in recovery for drug and alcohol addiction and for some reason applying the 12 steps to this area of my life is harder then what I thought. I haven't watched porn in 6 days and thats probably because of my 12 step program. The issue im having now is that my wife will go down on me I'll be hard as a rock and yesterday we tried having sex 2 times and both times like 10 minutes in I just went soft like it stopped working I am 25 years old and my wife is amazing in bed so I feel like somethings wrong with me. I saw that there's something called porn induced erectile dysfunction and I need to know the facts and cures of this. I thought it might have been my medications I take for depressents and ADHD which are known to do the same thing Porn induced erectile dysfunction does. I am worried about my sex life so any tips and help would be appreciated. I feel really low and worthless. My wife is even doing things that I would only see in porn which is one of the reasons I stopped so I don't get it cause for me, It wasnt the other women that made me turned on it was the things I seen in porn. The aggressive nature. The choking and slapping and man handeling the women that turned me on. So I am straight confused why this is happening to me and I am reaching out

Welcome to this community! You will fine a lot of awesome support here. This is a long and difficult journey, but one well worth it.

Here are some things I recommend:

-Start a journal to keep track of your thoughts and feelings throughout your journey, analyze them. Often times you can discover new things that can help your recover.
-Create a set of rules for your reboot
    -Create some goals
-Create a plan of action so when you feel triggered you can enact it immediately saving precious seconds
-Identify your triggers and as soon as you start feeling triggered, enact your plan of action without even thinking
-Remember to be patient, take one day at a time
-If you do relapse, learn from it, adjust your plan of action and rules and move forward - don't be to hard on yourself
-Educate yourself. A good place to start is yourbrainonporn.com

I hope this helps, Stay strong!

You mention a 12-steps-program in your original post. I've never heard about this and I'm wondering what it is (i've never really learned about addiction, and I'm not an American.. maybe that's why) :)

Suffering from PIED, Brian? OK, it is important to have a reason when quitting, a good reason, a reason that is important to you. This habit is a habit we probably would not quit unless it had some bad repercussions in our lives. Cigarette smokers would not quit if it did not affect them adversely. They lose lung capacity and eventually get cancer. There are all kinds of bad results from using porn all the time. From PIED (porn induced erectile dysfunction) to social interaction problems.
"When I quit, I quit. I did not count the days, I woke up every morning and said to myself I am never going back". I think that is the mindset you must have.
