I am a high school student and I study subjects like math and physics. Recently I feel my mind gets slower and slower, and becomes less able to concentrate, and my test scores for these subjects are getting worse even though I have been spending more time on these subjects. I think I am not as energetic as before, and become less clever.

Certainly, I cannot blame all this on pornography: I also got used to sleep in midnight and did little exercise. But I have decided to change and I forced myself to shut down laptops earlier at night and go running after school at night. Hope I will get better!

I'm right there with you man. I am in college studying the same things and when I use to PMO I could not remember a darn thing I studied. Even things I have known for years I started to forget. Porn is very bad for the brain in many ways and quitting porn my mind is finally starting to heal from years of abuse. It is worth quitting so never get up man. Good Luck.

Uncertain about the term brainfog, but certainly as more time lapses your brain will start to heal and reconnect to neuropathways. It's important to recognize that anxiety can lead to some of the symptoms that you are mentioning. Perhaps the anxiety is due to your workload and resisting sexual urges? It understandable that you want to get the most out of school, but also know that if you're overwhelmed due to increased amount of studying, you're running the risk of relapsing and performing poorly in school (as you indicated.) You made a wise decision to terminate internet activity at a decent hour and getting plenty of exercise. Good luck! -Brandon Johnston, M.Ed
