    I would personally say meditation is the most important of all.
    Fasting would help your meditations greatly, so would exercise and eating healthy.
    You are what you eat!
     
  3. I am doing meditation now on a daily basis and it's possibly the number one thing. It's like a "reset" of mind, making you totally refreshed and keeping in balance.

  5. For me, it is one of the greatest tools to get rid of urges. During meditaton, often some urges come to me, but then I let them fade away. And they keep away then for hours and days. I've really learned now to go into meditaton, when an urge comes up.

    I just did it right now, 2 hours ago today. My mind is refreshed and clear, and I'm eager to continue with my projects right now. I have not the slightest idea to do anything else.

    I did meditation from 5 30 to 6 in the morning. Its an awesome day so far :D just a lil urges but could fight them very easily.
    I think this might be a prime tool in getting rid of addiction and rewiring and to happy days :)

    It will help in every way!
    Meditative concentration can completely transform sexual desire! It also helps open all of the neural pathways all of the way up to, and within the brain, de-stresses the whole body and rebuilds the nervous system. This will also help forward all of that energy your body was wasting combating stresses towards neurogenesis.
    When you meditate correctly you are building lots of concentration power and focus, which will also help you in your battle of nofap.
    It calms your body and mind so much. Most Fapstronauts on here I would assume are also fighting the stress that their bodies are going through in a new form of energy buildup, since the semen contains massive energetic potential. When you hold it for a while you can picture it as being like the sun inside your body, radiating bio-energies that can be transmuted from sexual energy into other forms of creative energies that can help you in life unimaginably. This is what Yoga -(Union with god), is all about. It is about dissolving the mind-body-spirit into ONE, not a bunch of exercises or postures. The exercises and postures are just to prep your body for the meditation. Meditation is the key ingredient that is necessary for spiritual transformation. Here is my favorite quote on the true meaning of meditation -

    "The word meditation is a very poor substitute for the original term bhavana, which means 'culture' or 'development', i.e., mental culture or mental development. The Buddhist bhavana, properly speaking, is mental culture in the full sense of the term. It aims at cleansing the mind of impurities and disturbances, such as lustful desires, hatred, ill-will, indolence, worries and restlessness, sceptical doubts, and cultivating such qualities as concentration, awareness, intelligence, will, energy, the analytical faculty, confidence, joy, tranquility, leading finally to the attainment of highest wisdom which sees the nature of things as they are, and realizes the Ultimate Truth, Nirvana." [Walpola Rahula, What the Buddha Taught (Grove Press, 1974), p. 68]

    I agree! I wouldn't be where I am right now if it wasn't for meditation. I wake up at 5 in the morning and meditate until 6. Takes me some time to get settled so I probably only get 20-30 minutes of actual meditative concentration. I still catch my mind wandering a LOT.

    I'm not sure about mediation, although I'm sure it does help! I've heard good things about it... Let me look it up and I'll get back to you.

    QUICK NOTE: When I said exercise, I was referring to cardio/aerobic, which is minimum 30 min (at least 4times per week) of intense running, biking, etc. Weight lifting is great too of course, but for neurogenesis, cardio has the best results.

    I do cardio/ weightlifting while fasting (when I haven't something from the last 16 hrs)
    Its this idea called intermittent fasting.
    I did this for many months but I stopped for a while and I started it back again.
    When I used to do this, I felt a huge rise in my concentration focus and mood . I was becoming tough and reducing my body fat at an amazing but yes a healthy rate.
    One of the best things I noticed was my sleep quality. I could sleep for 6 hrs and wake up at 4 am in the morning with ease. I would just open my eyes and get out of bed with soo much ease.
    Discipline isn't an enemy. Its an ally. :)
     
  14. Oh Lord this was SO FUCKING MUCH BETTER than what I expected, because of how promotionnal your title sounds. Like wow I HAVE NO WORD. Some of the stuff you say seems pretty obvious but it actually feels really good to be reminded such things from time to time. You give me fucking hope again NeuroPlasticDray! I already tried inermittent fasting, gave up but I feel like trying again. This time I'm gonna do 24h once a week I think. Probably Sundays as it's God's day.

    BACK TO WAKING UP AT 6AM30, RUNNING 4TH A WEEK, LOW CARBS, INTERMITTENT FASTING, AND MY BODYWEIGHT IN WATER EVERYDAY!!! FUCK YAAAAAAAAAAAS MY POKEMON TRANSFORMATION IS BEGINNING!!! FROM MAGYKARP TO MEGA GYARADOS!!!! 20 YEARS WILL BE THE FIRST YEAR OF MY LIFE I STAND UP FOR MYSELF!!!! GREEN TEA IS MY FAVOURITE DRINK IN THE WORLD!!!!! BEWARE LONDON BITCH I'M BACK!!!!!!

    Thank you for that post Ando, it's just inspired me to jog 4-7 times/week again! With my busy class/work schedule, I have to be creative to when I do it, but I'll definitely get back to doing it again! Great post NeuroPlasticDray!!

    I'm currently in the middle of fasting today. Haven't eaten anything in the past 12 hours, and I'm feeling great. I can just feel those brain cells going through mitosis! Lol

    I'm up for it. I used to fast every Friday from sun up til sun down. I think I'll start doing that again.
