2 months ago, I burned a bridge (figuratively) with my 150ish day streak. I began a new streak with the goal of having more confidence going into college. I'll tell you that this stuff worked.

Let's jump into the time machine and rewind to 2 months ago. Now we step out of the time machine into the part of the time continuum in which I stupidly relapsed, got stuck in the chaser effect loop, and eventually started a new streak. For 2 weeks after my relapse, my energy level sagged pathetically. Time seemed to have slowed down; days dragged on forever. Back into the time machine.

Now we step out of the machine at a point 1 month later along the continuum. We see freshman me arriving at college with a cringey (cringy?), haircut, looking hella young, with much anxiety, but feeling stronger and ready to tackle the challenges ahead. My head was constantly filled with porn images and sounds and memes and vines to fit every scenario.

About a week in, some of my suite mates started joking around about jacking off. Of course, that signaled me to resume my occasional Crusade of teaching about NoFap, but they all called me an idiot and told me that I was going to get prostate cancer. Nobody would listen, except for my rommate, so at least I saved 1 person. Back into the time machine.

Now the machine arrives back at the present day. Now, sex, PMO, porn, etc. are no longer a part of my life because I have replaced them with productive activities: studying, playing music with the band that I started, marching band, classes, hanging out with friends, cooking, working out, 3d printing, and more. Sadly, My suite mates are constantly in chains because they always have the urge to PMO. It's so painful to witness their cravings for porn! On the other hand, my chains are gone; I can think clearly, I almost never think about porn, I can focus for long periods of time, I can feel good about making eye contact with anybody I see, little tiny details and revelations can make me so happy, hanging out with people isn't as nervewracking anymore, my acne is reducing, and I feel that I have made amends with God by giving up the vice of porn. In summary, by REPLACING porn, I have cleared the way for living a more productive and enjoyable lifestyle.

Right now, my mental state is leaning towards generally happy for the first time in a few years.

Life is hard when you are in the iron grip of porn. But When you are replace porn, life is easier.
