How to block porn images on computer?

If you are using chrome there is a extension called text mode that when you activate it there will be no images on the website you surfing.

 

How do you define xxx pictures.

 

It would be pictures of nude women and/or of them having sex.

 

Ok. I have no other suggestions other than what has been mentioned already by @Daniel S. . There is no definite way to block explicit material – especially if you want to block yourself from typing it. You should in that case also block search engines – except not using the computer at all. Virtually any block can be circumvented.

Myself, I use Chrome with siteblocker extensions (including adult-content blockers) and have modified the hosts file on my computers to block culprit webpages. This includes various search engines.

 

I'd recommend Pluckeye. It blocks 99% of images in your web browser (Chrome or Firefox) and can be used to disable all other browsers. Now, I know this is probably more excessive that what you're looking for but personally I don't mind not seeing images on my laptop. I use a smartphone (sparingly, under controlled conditions) if I ever need to do this.

Pluckeye doesn't block anything permanently. It works on a delay system, so if you ever need to unblock anything you can do so, you just need to wait however long you've told it to wait. I'm still testing it out but so far it's kept my laptop mostly safe for me subject to a few other admin tweaks.

I am also realising that nothing replaces willpower, so whilst it's nice that I can use my laptop without worrying about being only several key presses away from relapsing, if I was determined enough I could break it and so it's more a deterrent than anything else.
