I'm totally with you on the war part. It's hard to imagine what my reaction would be if I was a father of somebody who would wanna do something that is so against my own believes and actually causes both direct and indirect harm to others. In that case I would be probably left with no other option but to accept that my son is an independent person and support him as much as I would any stranger. That is not at all.

I'm glad I have to worry only about myself for the time being. Parenting must be a huge responsibility.
Your family is lucky to have such a thoughtful father :)

  3. Someone had asked me to post some links about male trafficking. Here are some:

    http://toysoldier.wordpress.com/2012/10/25/male-victims-of-sex-trafficking/

... and there is a lot more on YouTube and Google. Just be prepared to be disturbed.

This is actually why ignorance about this issue exists - because so many people dont like to find out disturbing things. It shatters the cozy image of life they created for themselves and makes them feel very uncomfortable. So they stay away, keep quiet, disappear in silence.

You might notice that while there are many testimonies of women who were ex-porn stars and who were trafficked, there are almost none coming from men. It's because there are none! No one bothers, no one cares, no one has reached out to them enough.

And this shame is destructive. I mean, look at your own life and how much courage and guts it took for you to come here and to share with people about your PMO problems. Now imagine those guys....

During my "rainy days" in the past I have once stumbled across a porn clip. It was about a guy who was bound by ropes on a stage and gang raped, mutilated and tortured. All this while a dozen men were sitting on chairs watching and rubbing their pants. Now, do you think the guy will just easily come out to anyone and tell them what happened to him? How he felt? Darn, he wont do it! He feels like a dirty pervert, sick and worthless. He will not go for help because he is too scared, too afraid to admit his weakness, his struggle, his shame. And he remains there because this is all he knows, some kind of illusionary stability and self-acknowledgement. Illusionary.... Mortifying... Hopeless...

  4. My friend, how well are you informed about what is actually real in the porn industry? I challenge you to go and do more research. You have no idea how many people are actually trafficked for sex, have you?

Do you really believe that everyone in the porn industry has a welfare protection? That everything is sterile-clean and there are no STD's? That behind the stage there are no drugs, no co-dependence, no abuse, no coercion? That no one is forced or manipulated to do something they don't want to do, like a gang porn clip? That everyone is just laughing, joyful, horny, enjoying the crowd and all the cameras staring at them? That men, women and children from houses with stable marriage, good financial background, solid education and spiritual maturity would desire to be exposed and objectified in these ways?

Surely, you don't believe this, do you? I mean, how can you?

Believing these things is exactly what fuels the porn industry! Porn and fantasizing is what stretches our brains with dopamine beyond recognition, making us crave the twisted and perverted acts. An addict always wants more. Always! What he has today will never be enough tomorrow. So how can anyone in porn industry be happy, satisfied, stable and psychologically and physiologically normal? It is just not possible. No one who is involved with porn will be satisfied, but will always want more and more and more.

Interesting enough, it is men who say that some women will do it because they like sex and being in front of a camera. I have yet to meet at least one woman who would admit this with factual certainty.

This is an interview with Ted Bundy, a serial rapist+killer. He talks about the role of porn in his own life and in lives of other convicted men. The full interview can be found here: http://goo.gl/jejnsXS

Please, I encourage you to research more. Read more, find out more. Maybe go to an anti-human trafficking conference or a workshop and ask these questions from the very people who used to be on the screen a few years ago. Make a survey at your local college or workplace and find out how many women enjoy being undressed and slutty in front of cameras. Because those who already did it have received the opposite results - truth that is sad and shocking. And it is nothing like the illusion which every porn-surfer tells himself. It is very far from that.

I seriously feel like you haven't read anything I wrote. World is not black and white. There are many shades of gray in between. On one hand you have sex slaves and yakuza controled porn industry in Japan and on other you have glamor models and girls filming themselves in the privacy of their home and selling it independently because that's what they want to do for a living. And then there is everything in between.

You are coming of as ignorant an judgmental with your generalizations. You cannot seriously believe that everyone doing porn is unhappy and that there is something deeply wrong with them, can you?
Guy in my gym is doing a gay porn for money. He is quite normal in my opinion.

  6. Yes, I do believe that. To do porn is just as wrong as to watch it. It is not normal and not natural - and just because technology allows it, does not make it good and right.

I do not judge the person, though. I am here on NoFap, for instance, for a very obvious reason - and I both need and offer help. It is the porn itself I am against - but if anyone in it asks for help or wants to come out, we will help.

It took me quite a while to realize this and to believe this. So I respect this fundamental difference in our world views, but I guess we will still hold on to each other's opinions. Keep well and thanks for being honest!

Wow. I'm just wow. Good for that lady. She realized how that was going to kill her and got out. Now she is attacking the industry. I know it will never happen but I wish porn was outlawed. It would help us out so much. Not only those like us who want to quit but even those who don't realize the problem with this smut and don't want to quit.

Just watching that End It Movement video was enough to make me feel like complete shit for propagating the exploitation of women through watching porn. Obviously that movement had a profound effect on all those people who saw that van that day, you can tell by the reactions that it caught the attention of everybody who saw it. It's ok to justify watching porn because the girls, especially the stars, get paid quite a bit of money. However, that doesn't speak anything for the hundreds of thousands of girls being manipulated by the sex industry. Fuck man, theres nothing better than a beautiful woman, these girls deserve to be happy and appreciated. Good job on all the activists against slavery, especially against the sex trade. I'm hoping to take all the time I normally spend jacking off on learning about these movements and supporting them, and spreading the word. This site is a godsend because it gives us men a forum to come together, share our issues, and work together for a common goal. It's a subject we normally keep private and hidden, sure we are behind computer screen buts at least we're trying to bring a change.

I won't see the videos, since those involve triggers, as you explained.

However, I have seen videos that portrays the porn industry as a exploitative one, maybe they are the same you posted, and even not they are the same kind.

And that is bullhshit (sorry for the word!). The porn industry is an industry like any other. And the girls are never forced into that, they do it because they like and the pay is great. They can always become waitressess and earn in a year what they earn in a day on porn. Are there moments when they are not well treated? yes, exactly like if they were doing another job. Like being waitressess. To be honest, I suspect there would be more bad treatment with a cheap waitress than with a porn star.

STD's? Of course that is a risk. Like a firefighter has the risk of getting burned, a MMA fighter of losing a teeth or other injuries. Like a police officer of getting shot or worse. That is simply an ocupation hazard, nothing new here. And the people involved know the risks and accepted them.

And do look if there isn't a religious agenda behind these no porn movements. I bet there is. Those movements employ lies and exageration in order to make anything they view as ammoral look really evil.

Some of your points may be relevant and there is indeed a religious element to some of these clips (but not all so careful not to throw the baby out with the bathwater!;)) and I understand your point but as far as I'm concerned I will not support an industry on any level that involves human trafficking regardless of the choices those who 'choose' to sell (for reasons often beyond their own control?) themselves to this industry because I have no desire to watch them prostitute themselves. Only the first clip has triggers by the way, the others are about trafficking etc which does go on on a larger scale than most people are comfortable to consider (religious and moral considerations aside)

What an eye opening! Why you watch such garbage videos just to get off? I rather meet girls in person, create and connection before sex. Porn is nothing but garbage. Girls are just acting.

    You have one now.

I'm a female performer myself. And yes, I work in the porn industry because I enjoy being an erotic entertainer.

I'm not going to tell you that the entire porn industry is all roses and happy faces. It absolutely isn't. However I cannot stand by and have people tar the entire industry with the same brush because they've seen some video selectively depicting only the worst. There are some seriously messed up things happening "behind the scenes" which beg to be put right, but those instances should not be held representative of the entire industry! To do so would be cherry picking.

I know many women who hate being a part of the adult industry and see no way out of it. They feel trapped in their adult job because they know "vanilla" job employers are not going to want a "filthy dirty sex worker" in their business. That is a huge issue. We carry a stigma about us that stays with us for life on behalf of how the world view us. It takes great strength to bear that burden. However, I also know many happy, successful women in this industry who have entered into it out of a genuine passion for performance, and have a deep love of their work.

I just needed to speak up about this.

  13. Ah, so you're a shill. That explains your posts. Can't have this NoFap nonsense cockblocking your revenue, eh?

You just look to me like a troll or porn agitator and even you wrote more negative things than positive.

I was just sticking up for the industry I have first-hand experience in that people here happen to speak a lot about. That doesn't make me a troll. I'm not trying to start a flame war, I'm just offering my perspective, being as people are speaking about porn, I thought the perspective of an actual performer might be valuable. Maybe not.

I can write much, much more positive than negative. The reason you saw more negative than positive is because I didn't want it to seem like I'm coming here just to say good things about it. I could speak about the porn industry for hours, and what I would say would be more positive than negative because my experience itself is positive. Do you want to hear about that?

No i do not want to hear about that. I saw your other post where you encourage one user to relapse. Your presence on this forum is malicious. I could make another 5 accounts on this form saying that im a "performer" and post how porn is great! On the other had other users are coming here because they realize that they have problem. No one would waste time coming here if he/she thinks that they are ok. There is nothing good about porn, specially for members and participants of nofap communities.
And if you get banned by any chance you should know that im one who reported you! Your presence is malicious, triggering and harmful!

CuriousFem, I think what Angriff is trying to say is that we would prefer it if you didn't. Just like people do not come to AA meetings to hear success stories about binge-drinking, we do not come to NoFap to hear someone who is happy to perform as a porn actress.

I am glad for you that you feel you are having a positive experience in your life choice, but sad that you feel the need to advertise that here, of all places. Please read this

Wow...just wow. You're pretty much as close to a fanatic as it gets. Her presence is "malicious, triggering and harmful" ? Ofcourse it is ,if you're that weak.
I actually am curious about that.

From what i can see you are being patronizing toward her(?) for some reason. Maybe you want to play a role of internet forum knight who stands out for the "lady". In my eyes male and female are equal and i use language i would use with another man.
I am pretty confident in my decision and myself. Truth is that i never was true addict i did it of boredom, but it was equally harmful. Problem with her(?) is that she is malicious for many members who are on edge to relapse.
