it's okay to be grief. release the anger. in anger you may end up making a mistake. release it by talking to a friend. to be honest you're 17. at this age hormones are very high, so don't put too much pressure on yourself.

the addiction fades with time. you have a lot of life ahead of you. i am 28 now and wish i had met this forum at 18.

talk to yourself. and forgive yourself for a relapse.

 

Try spending more time outside of your room. Remove yourself from a place where you can be idle, force yourself into more social situations where you have no choice but to interact with people. Take up a team sport, hobby or anything recreational requiring teamwork and communication that does not involve your phone or computer.

The pattern I see constantly when it comes to PMO is that the person routinely has access to easy internet, privacy, and feelings of boredom and restlessness.

Remove those and all you really have to worry about are triggers, but you can’t act on those triggers if you are unable to have access to porn and privacy, eventually they will have to fade. It is important if you take this route to incorporate some kind of external routine to your lifestyle.

 

When I was 17 it was 1997 and Internet porn wasn't really around . It's an epic struggle you're going through since the sex drive is so strong at your age. Since there wasn't porn I would just jerk it thinking about some hot girl from my high school... Which was healthy and never caused me any problems. And since there wasn't porn available so easily... There was a lot of incentive to go get laid. I remember I fucked the shit out of my girlfriend. It was awesome... I fucked her everyday after school instead of fapping.

Are you a virgin? It's okay if you are.... You should start trying to get laid. Let that be your motivation for no PMO. Quit the porn, limit fap as much as possible... Hit on girls, get a girlfriend , do whatever it takes to find a real girl. Its gonna take a lot of work and be a struggle but when you're balls deep in some young cherry you will cry tears of joy

 

Since you're 17 maybe start some physical activity like running. I joined the gym at 24 and there were many youngsters around. I'd go in the morning and I was the minority with many people looking much younger than me.
