    Hello everyone,

Im new to posting on these forums but am very familiar with nofap as i found out about it december of last year and id like to share my experience so far, im currently 63 days into this journey and i feel mine somewhat differs from other peoples but id like to know if im on the right track.

    A bit of backstory:

Im 23 years old, and ive always though up until this point in time that ive had chronic fatigue syndrome, ive spent thousands of dollars on seeing doctors, getting blood tests, specialists. Everyone told me that nothing was wrong with me and that it would pass in time. I believe i started masturbating around 15/16 and all the way up until now ive been doing in once a day, sometimes twice.

Ive been so tired for so long that i just thought it was normal, i cant remember ever not being tired because of the constant brain fog and over the last few years it started getting much worse.

The more i read about nofap and abstaining from porn/masturbation the more it made sense to me. So i tried to quit and when i realised i couldnt after the first attempt i knew i had a problem. The first time i made it 7 days. The second attempt was 12 days. And that brings me to what im currently on which is 63 days.

To give you an idea my symptoms were:

    - extreme fatigue/tiredness
    - brain fog
    - sensetivity to cold
    - overheating/sweating
    - memory loss (very hard to remember names etc)
    - lower back and neck pain (constantly)
    - headaches
    - extreme social anxiety
-very stressed out all the time
    - panic attacks

Since ive started nofap the benefits ive noticed:
    - sometimes will have better concentration
    - energy gets a bit higher at around lunch time along with a slight increase in attitude (happier) but then drops in the mornings and after work
    - a slight increase in energy and motivation the first few weeks

So far i havnt really noticed too many benefits and this for me can be a little depressing. Im still quite tired all the time, low energy and motivation is just as bad as its been in the past. I just havnt reached a point in this journey where notable progress has been seen. Out of everything id just like to know if im on the right track. I havnt felt myself for years. I know the type of person i am capable of being and i do have high hopes for myself. But i seem stuck. What do you guys think?

Withdrawals and flatlined for me didnt feel like much of a change because i felt just as bad before nofap, its just hard to tell if im in a flatline and i am changing or im the same as i was before.

Thanks for reading as it has been nice to write and get this off my chest.

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

    How are you progressing today?

What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

    Hello, d,j.

Im currently on day 69 of my journey and i must say its been a very difficult one. Ive either been in a flatline or in withdrawal for most of my recovery but i feel like im slowly coming out of it. Im generally happier but i feel like there is still a long way to go. Maybe a few more months until i feel the real effects.

What many people don't realize is this journey is more than PMO sobriety. It teaches you aboout you, it tests your limits and grows you through this process.

For me example, did you ever think you would have the patience to endure
Something this long without and noticeable progress? You have increased your patience capacity so much and for those life growing changes I say to you,

    CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PROGRESS!

Oh yes ive found its definately been more of a lifestyle change.

I didnt even realise it was a problem until it got to such a severe point. Im just so lucky to have found this community becausee it is literally saving my life.

I know realise how blind i have been for years . Also kind of upset i couldnt figure this out earlier

Well man 70 days without pmo is quite remakable by my standard at least. You should be grateful for that. My longest period for me just 14 days flat that was sometimes last year. Please encourage me instead ;p.

Everyone's PMO experience may be different. Some individuals' flatline will last a week, while others may last for their whole reboot process. The main thing to take away from this is that no matter how long the flatline, the process is WORTH IT. :)

Hey man i just want to say you can do it! You can do it. You need to FORCE yourself out of this lifestile, this nasty habit that you dont want. Change a little bit each day,. I didnt want to excersize because i was so tired all the time, so instead i went down to the park for a walk for 10 minutes or so, that became a few laps of jogging, then running. You can do it my friend!
Yeah, as im finding out im slowly getting my life back, its so nice to know after all these years im finally getting better.

Thanks man! Yes! Of course i can do it! It just maybe before i dont really FORCE myself to do it for a longer period. I just too soft with myself. I also giving up pretty easily, just because after achieve a few days or a week i will go back to it like everyday and its make me wonder if the reboot was wort it. Also i have been alone in this for such a long time so when i found this forum its really opened my eyes that i am not alone and theres many incredible guys that managed to eliminate this nasty habit all together. Kudos to you all!

On the exercise matter yes i am the same as you i cannot exercise regularly because i am weak as fuck, if i jog for 30 minutes i feel like want to throw up. But i knew somebody that was weaker and dead lazy than me becoming a bodybuilder so i think it maybe more to mental block than physical block. But excessive masturbation can make you tired all the time. I dont know about you if you feel tired all the time because of withdrawals effect after 70 days of no pmo. I could feel that after a week. It maybe other issues, maybe you should refer to a doc?

On other note, for me prayer or meditation really helps to boost my energy and motivation. You should try it everytime you wake up in the morning and after works. Just a five minutes silence and self realization. Just my fifty cents ;)

    Welcome mate!
That's incredible story you shared, thank you.
It is interesting that I have an issue with fainting as well, and believe this is 100% because of the PMO, you are on the right track!

I believe now that i was so amaged it has taken this long to heal my body.i AM however getting slightly better as the weeks go on.the brain fog is slowly lifting and the withdrawal symptoms are getting much better, i feel as if in a few months from now i will start seeing the big benefits everyone boasts about! For me this has been a massive journey and learning curve, but i finally feel its starting to pay off! Yes i am also trying meditation as much as i can and i find it does definately help!

Yes to me that sounds pmo related. This drug causes all kinds of problems we dont even realise until we are out of it! Keep going man!!
