Hey all!! I’ve been addicted since early on, I got introduced in 6th grade I’m 27 now..so like 16 years I think I’m correct. Anyways I’m married and me and my wife are happy together besides me having an addiction I’m trying to break free of so I can treat/show her true love better. I’m also been diagnosed with major depressive disorder two years ago,so I got that happening to. I got introduced in the form of magazines at friends houses and tv shows they watched sometimes. From there went to the computer never really had pre ya that explained it to me, what I was doing was wrong. They kind of just yelled at me and told me to not do it. Which made me want to do it more. From there I got addicted to the erotica, then to different sites. It was so easy to get when I was younger, and me knowing more about computers then my dad and mom. I also got into more hardcore stuff from there, I required a bigger better high. Anyways how are you all?

  2. Welcome to the forum lamth3mpire. The fact that you've recognized you have a problem and are here to work on your addiction for the betterment of yourself and those you love is a tremendous first step. I'm not sure if you've tried this before, but at least in my experience these forums have been a huge help in getting me going down the path of recovery. You'll find an unlimited wealth of knowledge and wisdom here. Not from every user, of course, but it becomes easier to figure out which users will help you on your journey and which ones are just a distraction.

I've been addicted to porn for about 25 years now, and probably before then since I was compulsively searching out magazines everywhere I went by searching the bedrooms of those who trusted me when I was a teen. As my addiction grew, so did my tastes, and it wasn't long before nothing was off limits. You'll find many similar stories here. I recommend starting a journal in your age group and regularly tracking your progress. This has been the greatest benefit to me. At the same time, you need a plan to fill the hole that PMO has filled for the last 16 years. There is no "just stopping". Filling that hole with alternative, healthy habits will give you the greatest chance of success. Figure out what your routine is, what are your triggers, when do you tend to use porn the most - and break out of that pattern.

I wish you the best of luck and am available at any time if you have any questions or want feedback.
