Hey guys. I'm Alan, and it's a pleasure to meet you all. I am not new to NoFap, but I have not done it as much as I would like to. The most days I have achieved was around 70 to 80 days if I recall correctly, but I would like to make it to 90 days and beyond without relapse.

I have watched porn since I was 10 when my friend Robert showed us some clips from a porn site. I even recall setting up forts in front of the computer so that our parents couldn't see what we were doing. Unfortunately, because of this incident our parents decided that we couldn't hang out anymore.

I grew up shy, introverted, and detached from society. I had a lot of embarrassing moments growing up and personal problems which shot my self-esteem down hard, and to this day even when I try to speak up and project my voice it can come off forced and inaudible.

I will admit that a large part of my NoFap journey is to meet, attract, and date more women that I like. In the last four years of my life, I have not truly connected with women, and when I did have intimacy it was not earned but done so via strippers and escorts, which I have developed a great degree of shame for.

So far, I have not masturbated, watched porn, or seen a sex worker since the 15th, although I have definitely felt a lot of urges, but hope to continue strongly in this endeavor, especially by joining this community.

Looking forward to join everyone on their personal NoFap journey!

I can so relate to this. I haven't gotten anywhere near 80 days as you have, but even a few days away from porn makes it better. You ARE making the right decision, so all the best on your journey, and meanwhile you can search online for people talking about improving confidence and fighting social anxiety. Good luck!

  5. Hi Alan,
    Thanks for being here. Welcome!
Leaving an addictive habit is not an easy job, but .... it will be fully worth it.
So... get some knowledge, read stories, let yourself encouraged by others.
You are not alone in this. So connecting to others is a clue as well!
And don't forget to create a journal.
Writing about your daily stuff may really help you to process the issues.

I hope you will make it a great time here!
