My names Deven. I've battled with an addiction to pornography for about 15-16 years now. Having a masturbation addiction for around 12 years now as well. I'm religious and through my faith it has helped me become more honest with myself and this addiction I tend to hold onto in my life. I've been attending a addictions recovery program through my church that's based similarly upon the A.A 12 step program for about 5 years now and that has helped a lot in trying to over come my addictions and to put them in the past and leave it in the past and move forward with faith, self respect, and more self control in my life. I thought I would try this out and to seek further help and support through people battling and going through the same similar urges and temptations that I've delt with in my life. I think and pray a lot about the members in my current church addictions recovery group and now I can use this website/ tool to grow my relations and strength from all of you and your testimonies/struggles and triumphs with the addictions of masturbation and pornography.

Love you guys, stay strong, keep your head up and believe in yourself to over come this in our lives together. We can and WILL make a positive difference and influence on gaining back true healthy and real sexual relationships with real people and not fake fantasies.

Having a relationship with a person rather then a computer/phone or tv screen.

Bless you all stay strong family!

    -Deven! :)

I've been doing really good so far. I've written down my triggers and have been adding to the list when you write an actual written trigger inventory of your addiction it allows you to break it down even further and make you realise you've got more on your plate then you thought and it puts things into real perspective for yourself as well. I feel as if my bond with my gf is becoming stronger and more sincere as well which I love. I'm usually really open with her about my addictions but with my recent 4 day stint of letting myself down and indulging in my addiction I was to afraid or ashamed of myself in doing that that I still haven't told her I had slipped up again since I know it really hurts her and has made her come to tears making her feel less appreciated and that makes me sad or hurts me to know I've hurt her. I want to be honest and love her without these holding me back from true real love. I just keep having the faith to move forward and I'm grateful for the testimonies of strength that I read from all your input and conversations, it builds me up and I find strength in what you say. Cheers friends! Have an awesome day guys ;).

    -Deven.
