Healthy masturbation?

    I've just read No more mr. Nice guy and searching for the healthy mastrubation I've found this thread and I'll revive it because there's a misunderstanding in this thread:
    Author of the book doesn't say you should achive orgasm, he is very specific about that. He says to only mastrubate in front of the mirror to achive comfort with yourself being sexual being, to see yourself so you can get over fear of sex and sexual situations, to prepare your mind in a way that you naked plesuring yourself is nothing wrong, and that you shouldn't be ashamed of your sexuality. I think it is a great excersize to get over sexual intercourse anxiety and not getting hard when it matters. Remember, our mind has to be reprogramed somehow and I think this is very good way how to do it. So no PO but M is ok if it is done with that purpose

    There is no novelty when you are with yourself focusing on your sensations instead of using P or fanasies to get you off.

    When it comes to if masturbation is healthy or not: Even tho it's called noFAP what we first and foremost are batteling are Porn it's a red line through all of our problems here. you can do three diffeent ways of NoFap firstly only abstaining from Porn, then Porn and Masturbation and finally Porn, Masturbation and orgasm. Porn is the real killer

    The only way I see masturbation as unhealthy is if it's combined with P

    I wouldn't encourage most people on this site to M because I think most of you would go back to P doing so, I'm sorry but I think that's the reality of it.

    If you have made a final decision to quit P I would encourage you to read a book called "The Multi-Orgasmic Man"

    It's been a few years since I read the book, but it's mainly about how to be more in touch with yourelf and body sexually.
     
  3. Idk I think to each their own as long as they feel in control. I originally came on here because I was at the point I seemed unable to go a day without PMO and MO without material was impossible.
    Healthy masturbation I would put on the same level as healthy drinking, has some benefits and some negatives can love with or without and depending on you the effects may or may not be worth it.
    Ill MO now if I am on the road away from the SO for 2-3 weeks to not risk a PMO relapse. Semen retention benefits past a couple weeks I dont believe are anything more than mental. There is some scientific studies that back it I admit (there is a study to back any hypothesis these days), however they offer a very limited view and don't prove correlation and causation for the physiological benefits.

    Other than that, do not forget that "the truth" can be objective.... ;)

    I am glad this forum has been revived. This is exactly the topic I have been interested it. I think I have got the porn thing whipped and would like to enter masturbation back into my life without overdoing it and definitely without porn. I like the idea of masturbating with just enjoying the feeling of touch without the visions of porn in my head. I feel that I am getting closer to that.
