Has anyone else here not had "The Talk" ?

I'm Christian as well. But my father couldn't talk about sex. My mother had The Talk with me. In fact she had several talks with me. Each time she encouraged me to ask about anything I wanted to know or didn't understand. So, it was very detailed and we covered everything. I avoided getting into porn as a boy or a young man. I didn't view it until I was I my 40s. But I masturbated at 13 when I experienced my first erection. Sadly, it was a one-hit addiction from that moment.

 

Money has never even been slightly addictive to me. Neither has gambling. I couldn't care less about gambling or money but some people destroy their and other people's lives with it.

I think if you're on this forum and have an understanding of what porn does to people and can still say that you would exploit that for money - then you have an unhealthy relationship with money and should consider some sort of money reboot.

Hey man, I never said porn wasn't a problem haha. And yea, I could use a money reboot, but that's just not practical. And I was just being honest with you. I think 99 percent of people who say they wouldn't take advantage of something like that are simply lying. It's easy say noble things, but to take noble actions is a different story.

Don't worry though, I'll never have a chance to be a part of that market, because i am going to college, and porn isn't a degree choice.

 

Here are some tips to help you (in no particular order):

• When you go to the bathroom, don't take your smartphone with you.
• Turn off gadgets one hour before you go to bed, try to read instead.
  
• Use the panic button^ when you are tempted, before the panic sets in.
  
• Do not touch your dick and balls unless you are peeing or washing.
  
• Keep your bedroom door open so your family can see what you are doing.
  
• Do not test your penis to see if you can get an erection if you have not had one for a while.
• Sleep naked to keep your balls cool, boost testosterone and to avoid your penis being constrained.
  
• Tell your AP as soon as you masturbate and/or use pornography stating how it occurred to learn lessons.
  
• Do not lie to your AP about your masturbation and porn habits and relapses, you are just hurting yourself.
  
• Stop sexual thoughts, images and fantasies immediately by distracting yourself. Use hobbies or sports activities.

Yeah, well, just use the ones that fit you situation or seem useful to you. They are only suggestions.

 

If that's true - then it's a poor reflection on humanity overall. I feel bad taking long lunch breaks, there's no way I could make money exploiting and ruining messed up young girls (the porn stars) and taking advantage of people's weakness in ways that may ruin their lives (the viewers). I would sooner be broke than sell my soul.

If people are as bad as you think and things keep going the way they are maybe porn will be a degree choice for our children's generation, and Barney will give our kids "the talk" with explicit purple visuals.

Not attacking you personally - I just think in general people need to reevaluate their relationship with money and recognize the moral cesspool we're descending into. Just because it's hard to do noble things doesn't mean we shouldn't give it our best effort.
