Hardmode, Tobacco & Weed

  1. Have any of you guys been consuming Marijuana and/or tobbaco regularly during rebooting?
    Anyone trying to quit while also rebooting?
    I've been tokin' on a daily basis pretty much nonstop for the past 12 years (obviously while PMOing those years to shit.) and smoking tobacco for 16.
    If I'm at home though, I'd have a bowl from my bong rather than roll a cigarette.
    Although I'd been smoking and PMOing all those years, I've managed to kinda stay in shape with some running, calisthenics, yoga and surfing but was never consistent for more than two months, and was never able to reach a high level of performance in any of these, which bothers me tremendously.
    As for dreams, I never have 'em, or at least never remember them when I wake up.
    I get 6-8 hours of sleep daily.
    I have PIED and all sorts of social and emotional issues as you can imagine, so eleven days ago I started a 90 day (minimum) hardmode reboot, and still haven't had a dream. Or an erection.
    I stumbled upon this radio talk with a brilliant neuroscientist about sleep(15min):

    I'm starting to think there will be no recovery unless I clean up completely.
    I can't stop thinking I need to quit the T'n'W too but am afraid it will all be too much for me with the reboot
    Thought about waiting till day 21 of rebooting and then doing a 3 day water-only fast to get the quitting going, because, at the moment, I can't make it through a single day without smoke in my lungs.
    Any suggestions/thoughts/experiences?
     
  2. Stay strong brother! I have quit smoking for 2 months now and on day 16 of hard mode no PMO.

    Mind over matter. Don't let the addiction get the best of you.

    I have been smoking for over 10 years and PMO for longer than smoking. The good thing is that I always had intercourse with girlfriends or hookers throughout my life so my PIED is not as serious as others on this forum.

    Whenever you want to M or smoke just tell yourself how much life is going to be better several months down the road from abstaining. You can try to much on pumpkin seeds whenever you have an urge

    Hi Gimmesomegal,

    I stopped smoking weed a couple of weeks before starting the reboot. I didn't do it on purpose, I just tried to quit weed one more time and then discovered nofap (currently on day 48). To me weed was a big trigger. I have been smoking for +12 years. Since 4 years I live alone so I could smoke all day long. While high I enjoyed wachting porn a lot (maybe because I spent a lot of time alone) and if I was very high I had to mastubate in order to sleep, and of course I used porn.
    I would advise you to stop smoking it. To reboot it is better if you stay focused. Besides that, any kind of addiction is harmful. I know I cannot smoke a joint because if I smoke one I can smoke four or five and then I would relapse. I am not sure if I will smoke ever again but I know I will need to be very careful. You have to be honest about your relationship with weed and why you use it.

    I keep smoking cigarettes but now I am trying not to smoke everyday (with different results depending on the week).

    Life is too short and weed is just another way to evade one's problems. I don't know if I answered your question but I hope it helps.

  5. I agree 100% with @MarinoBigFan1984 on this. The less addictive stuff you do, the better. Daily use is not recreational use. Recreational use would be sporadic. It doesn't matter how many people say weed is not addictive (what? have you ever tried weed? lol) and that it is actually good for you (IF you have cancer. For example if you have psychotic tendencies it is actually batshit BAD for you.)

    Sorry for this rant. This is not meant as judgement. I smoked weed for a very long time. I don't believe it's healthy at all.

    Hi GSG. If weed or tobacco is a trigger for you, get rid of it straight-up. With regards to tobacco, you need to get off that shit period because it's horrible for your blood vessels (which obviously your dick needs in order to get hard). Also try mindfucking yourself into liking celery and arugula. The former has some kind of phytochemical in it that helps remove estrogen from your body, and the latter is (if I recall correctly) nature's single biggest source of nitrous oxide which your body needs for the process to relax your blood vessels which then causes them to dilate (in the case of your junk, this causes an erection). I don't know whether or not either of those are truly helping me or if I'm further along in my reboot process than I thought (reduced PMO-ing from daily, sometimes multiple times per day, to once per week at most and it's just masturbation to mental fantasy; no porn), but I try to eat a celery stalk or two daily, plus a salad of arugula daily (with cherry tomatoes).

    I quit smoking about 3 months ago during a reboot

    I still haven´t quit porn yet. So...you shouldnt be afraid of quitting smoking. You will see that PMO is fucking more difficult!

    Although psychological depence from weed is obviously more stronger than from just tobacco
