    Hello All,

I am a 23 year old gay male here, giving this no PMO thing a try. Today is Day 3 and I am proud of myself for making it this far. Usually I watch porn and jo at least once a day, but lately I've begun to realize how much time I am actually wasting so I figured it is time for a change. I thought I was the only one who had thought about giving up PMO until I came upon this forum. Very happy to be here and meet you all and share experiences along the way. I don't know if it is any different being a gay man, but I find it very hard to find quality gays, most just look for a random hookup, which I always regret after it is over. In my quest to stop PMO, I have also deleted all forms of social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and all gay dating apps as well (Grindr, Scruff) as they are very time consuming and usually lead to conversations about sex and exchange of pics, you get the idea. Right now, my main focus is on myself, my life/career. Well, before I get too carried away here I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Thanks guys!

  2. @jkeis862 ,

Welcome to NoFap. As a gay man on NoFap, I've found nothing but support. The basic idea of NoFap applies to both gay and str8 members.

    • Online porn makes the brain crave "perfect" images.
    • Real life can't keep up
    • When real life sex is tried PIED and ED often happen because the rush of chemicals produced during pmo don't happen
    • In order to avoid the embarrassment of PIED and ED more pmo is done.
    • Death grip and social avoidance follow
Before I stumbled on NoFap, I didn't even realize what a hold on my mind, body and spirit pmo had.

If you haven't downloaded the "Getting Started with NoFap" guide, I recommend it. It's on the home page and is free.

Then, the porn addiction page https://www.nofap.com/porn-addiction/ is a great resource.

Two last things. The glossary page is really helpful in keep up with the terms used on the site. It can be found at https://www.nofap.com/glossary/

Then, finally, I really like this video:

    It explains a great deal.

Being gay on NoFap is exactly the same, you have found the right place.

I recommend writing in the journal section as well. The journals are located in the forum and are listed by age.

Please, let us know how you are doing,

    L
