Does anybody have a guess, as to what the success rate might be of curing PIED through reboot? I'm going through it right now, but I don't know how hopeful I should feel. I know every case is different, but I'd still like some idea of the general success rate.

I think most people give way too low of estimates for this. Budget a year minimum so you don't get disappointed. I'm at 200 and mine has shown no signs of improvement.

This both encourages me greatly, and discourages me beyond words...

    ;-)

    Stay the course!

So how do you know it's PIED and not just regular ED then, if you've gone 200 days without improvement? How do you test your progress?

I've asked this same question on this and other forums. Never got a really great answer.

I think the only thing to do is KEEP GOING!

I don't really care if it's PIED, or just old man - ED. I'm not going to look at porn ever again, and I'm going to wait until I'm able to get an erection with just the arousal of my wife.

....and I'm not going to think 'what if that never happens?....'

I'm just going to keep going. NO PMO

  7. No idea but can tell you that for me the longer I reboot, the better erections I get. Already have morning wood that cut through titanium. And I am at 50+ days.

Sure, I'm definantly not saying to go back to PMO. However, if it's "regular" ED, then there's no spontaneous improvement waiting around the corner just for being abstinent, so in that case you might want to seek medical treatment as well, if it's erectile improvement that you're ultimately after.

  9. Can’t ever get it up= ED
Can get it up with porn but not real people=PIED

I was at almost 3 week before I had a minor relapse 9 days ago. The day of the relapse, I just got really horny thinking of the girl Im dating and then blue balls actually set in. So I decided to drain the built up load, but it didn't take much stimulation and I didn't watch porn..

I really think I can do a full year. But if my PIED in not significantly improved within a year of no PMO. Then I'm going to plan B: alprostadil injections.. Since PDE5 inhibitors like sildenafil doesn't seem to work adequately for me anymore. I'm also willing to try EDSWT treatment.. But honestly, I realise that there's a chance I might eventually end up with an inflatable prosthetic..

I honestly think I might have a little of both. It definitely started as PIED, since I had good erections wile masturbating. But it's gotten worse with time. Just before I started no PMO, my erections had gotten week and short lasting, even when masturbating.. It wasn't like that just two years ago.. :( So it might be ED on top of PIED in my case..

If you have a partner figuring out if it is PIED or regular ED is pretty straight forward. If you have given up porn for at least 6 months and are still struggling then it likely is not PIED. If you do not have a partner normally if you wake up with an erection you do not have physical ED. You could have DE, and your ED could be related to other psychological factors that are not just porn. I would rule out physical causes as well, are you taking meds, is your testosterone low. I am female and my ex had PIED, he did not have ED, but he had DE, which was caused by a combination of death grip and P. I think how old you are also determines how likely you are to recover and how quickly. Younger people are more apt to be open to change, and if you have been doing something for a longer period of time, your bod is more used to it. Also as men age in general they have decreased sensitivity and many will have DE or ED before 45, most will have it in some form after that. My ex was 47 and although he did a reboot and was clean for 6 months the only improvement was that he could O from my hand and mouth, but not from sex. He was never able to get to that point, and it was disappointing. But from what I understand from men on here he is in the minority, so I would try not to worry about it too much, you will recover.

  15. Will not using our “little friend” for a year plus, will that weaken muscles? Weaken our overall erection quality?

I would STRONGLY DISAGREE with this statement. I've read many, many success stories where guys took longer than six months.

I never said full recovery in 6 months but I do believe you need to at least see some sign of improvement.

You said '...still struggling', which (to me) implies '...if you're still having any issues'

I've read many, many success stories where guys are still having some issues (read: 'still struggling') after six months.
