    So after this short time on the forum there is lots of good, some misguided and some negative ideas about this subject. Taking porn out of the equation what do you actually think about gender?

    Plenty of TG watchers, sissy ect here. Personally think everyone has a right to identify how they feel inside. Also I'm only attracted to the feminine form but if they happen to have a dick so be it. Also no shame in being gay or whatever, but it is not even a gay thing.

    Just wondering why everyone is hung up on genetalia? For me it is physical attraction and mental attraction, not genital based.

    That’s why I think being Pansexual is brilliant, gender doesn’t matter to me and whatever genitalia that person has doesn’t effect me.

    There are two genders and many different personalities. Your sex is not determined by your feelings or desires.
    Sex=male/female
    Gender=male/female
    Personality=more or less masculine/ more or less feminine

    Everyone has a slightly different personality, and a different mix of masculine and feminine qualities. If we were to designate the term “gender” as equal to the term “personality” , as the extreme liberals would have it, there would potentially be an infinite number of genders, which would in effect eliminate the whole purpose of the gender neutrality movement. “Gender” would be an utterly useless and nonsensical self-proclaimed label that would have no more meaning then a nickname. Imagine having a label for every single personality in the world, it doesn’t make sense as there would be a different label for every single human. In order for gender to be relevant it most be synonymous with the term sex.

    I'm not attracted to men at all because I'm not gay. And obviously being attracted to female genetalia is a physical and mental attraction. In fact, every attraction is a "physical attraction and mental attraction". Unless I'm missing your point, looks like what you are saying is that you are physically and mentally attracted to both male and female genitalia.

    Sounds more like he’s attracted to their personality as well as their physical appearance, which is the same for me if that’s what he means.

    "Just wondering why everyone is hung up on genetalia?" Really?! Is this a serious question; okay I'll bite.

    Genitalia is everything! I don't like penis' except for my own. I like genuine biological Women. If you don't like the equipment you were born with, you need some mental help/therapy because you cannot change your gender. Now, unless you're one of those rare .00000001 hermaphrodites, the problem is upstairs, in your brain and possibly also in your upbringing.

    My not very popular opinion, there are individuals (I am not blaming an entite community, just the individuals within that scream and shout) that for some reason press their wish and belief upon others. It happens everywhere, religion, lgbt+, politics. Since all history, gender has been identified biologically, man has a penis, woman has vagina, woman gives birth to a child after copulation with a man. What happens in one's own mind ia not my business. But I find that suddenly debating grammar and changing something that is clear is silly. To quote a rather offensive movie that made some terribly good points, if we replace all words with "Alladeen", we ensure chaos. Offense is taken, not given. I should not need to worry if you are straight, trans, whatever, nor should you worry about what I am. If I am not attracted to you because I am a straight male and you are a woman with a penis, maybe it's not fair, maybe I don't look past your reproductive organs, but I have the freedom to choose. You are a fellow human being, and I give you the respect of a fellow human being. Sadly however, the vibe promoted in general is 'You are either supporting and encouraging us, or you are discriminating and homophobic", there's no middle ground. And going back to language, what's the point of a pronoun beside pride? We're 'Alladeen'-ing things, because some seek validation, and attempt to press is unto those that do not offer it. My freedom ends where yours begins, and if offense was a crime, society would cease to exist. It is our right to perceive one another however we wish/can, and to each their own. I cannot be offended by anyone, because I choose not to be. Harm is not a choice. I do not choose if a knife in my chest is harmful, that is a fact. But pride and offense are choices, and I believe the whole SJW battles are about those two.

    Damn, I'm afraid to even look how long this post is :i

    Yeah... I'm offended when a certain side shouts and pouts "You're a Climate Change deny-er"! "You don't like Science!"

    to which I throw it back in their face, "There are only 2 genders" what, YOU MUST NOT LIKE SCIENCE! There's not 5000 genders.

    I generally steer clear of these sorts of topics, but since it popped up in the recent topics and I've noticed the opinions...I'll bite.

    I think that both sides err and it will be a long way until there will be a general consensus, since each side is hung up on their values. Now, as I am myself in a situation that puts me under the rainbow (and I'm not disclosing much further than that, because I'm in need of guidance to steer clear of PMO, not to be "converted" or something), I try not to judge, because everyone's voice deserves to be heard. And I am of opinion that there should be an ounce of respect for trans people, and I don't think some are aware of how 41% of trans people commit suicide due to extreme/sometimes abusive behaviour from their peers (these people have become numbers just to prove this, really?!). I also do not agree to the extremes of my rainbow peers that border on SJW-ism, and we should honestly stop putting everyone under the spectrum in a bad light because there are a few who just throw shit on it - making the lives of those who don't really want to stand out a nightmare.

    I'm gonna kindly retreat from this topic now.

    Abusive behavier from peers is not the cause. 41% is the highest rate of suicide in history except for the jews under nazi control. Do you think the trannies are being treated as badly as the jews were? Not only that, but the suicide rate is exactly the same before and after treatment. "Gender dysphoria" could be renamed "suicide delusion".

    Okay...since I've said already that I'm leaving the topic - yet you've kindly decided to bring me back here - guess I'll have to humor your questions :)
    For my part, I think trans people are already getting enough shame. I presume you'd be up to advocating "trans conversion camps" as it is for the gay people? Just to humor you. If the "treatment" to correct gay people is already a painful and torturous one, you'd think this would work on these people, whose gender identity is not matching the external appearance they have? If they had pills to "correct their identity" just so they please today's society, some are desperate to take those so they'd stop being shamed for who they are. Is that what everything should be? Them suppressing their identity because we're not sure they're so badly treated? Maybe they are, maybe they're not, that still doesn't matter - their identity belongs to them and I doubt they'd be up to changing it to put you at ease.

    Please refrain from quoting my post. You can like my ideas or not, I'm not here to debate nor my identity, nor other people's lives and ways of living.

    Personally, I believe gender and sex are both based on what you are biologically, i.e. your chromosomes. But I'm not going to bully or belittle anyone who believes something different than that. I just respectfully disagree.

    When it comes to sexual attraction, however, I think it's a bit silly to act like people who care about genitalia are somehow bigoted or have something wrong with them, or that people who dont care about genitalia are better or more "progressive" or something. Isnt that exactly the kind of discrimination gay people have faced for years? People thinking less of them for the type of people they are sexually attracted to?

    I have no issue with gay people, trans people, pan people, etc., fill in the blank. But I also have no issue with heterosexual people, either. It's not "problematic" for someone to say they are only attracted to, for example, biological females with natural vaginas. That's not discrimination any more than a gay man saying hes only attracted to men. Nobody is telling gay men they are discriminating against women by not being sexually attracted to them.

    In short, I pretty much believe in letting people be who they are, even if I disagree with them about some things. Including heterosexual people. Theres nothing wrong with them, and they dont need to try to be "more open minded" or some crap. I've heard people say that to straight people so many times, but of course you would NEVER say that a gay man should "be more open minded" about dating women. It's a ridiculous double standard.

    As far as my personal sexuality, I dont really like to label myself, but if I had to, I would say I'm bisexual. When it comes to trans people, I've been attracted to both trans men and women, but personally I dont think I would want to be with a trans man who has a vagina. It's not any discrimination against them, but I'm just not attracted to that, sexually. And yes, in this case I am absolutely "hung up on genitalia," because genitalia is important for a sexual experience, and it's a part of a person. Theres nothing wrong with caring what kind of genitalia your partner has. I dont think you should care what kind of genitalia your friend has, because it's none of your business, but when it comes to a sexual relationship, it is your business and everyone has different things they are or are not sexually attracted to.

    I think it could be partially due to discrimination, but probably not all of it is due to that. To be honest, though, the truth is that we can't isolate a situation enough to know what the cause of their suicide rates is.

    However, given the fact that so many trans people dont see improved suicide rates after transition, I find it very sad that our society is stigmatizing looking for any further options to alleviate gender dysphoria. Its basically declared transphobic if you are to suggest that maybe we should try to find a better cure than transition, since transition has such low success rates and is also really expensive and potentially dangerous to peoples health and well-being.

    If I were to say all that within a group of trans people, I would probably just be accused of being transphobic and be told that I dont really care about them, I just dont want to see them transition for my own selfish reasons. Not the case at all. If they want to transition, that's completely up to them, but I see absolutely no harm in scientists and researchers ALSO continuing to look for other solutions that might be more effective at giving them a better life free from the suffering of dysphoria.

    A penis or vagina doesn't define you or anyone. All I want is to love and be loved. Obviously by someone I'm attracted to but otherwise I'm open.
