Feeling Hopeless W/ 7 Months Harmode

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Freeddom_Taker, Mar 2, 2019.

  1. I've tried everything as other nofappers suggest. Things like working out, sun bath, Fasting or eating less food(healthy food) and cold shower. But nothing really seems to work as expected.i still having huge brain fog, big head pressure and tingling sensation, Muscles stiffness, No motivation whatsoever. Don't even talk about women as I don't have no drive or desire to get one.

It’s a horrible process exactly the same for me. I think for some people it takes a hell of a lot longer to ‘reboot’. You have been dosed up on dopamine for so long when that drip of goodness stops my own experience my body went into shock and post acute withdrawal symptoms.
I couldn’t even go docs for help as I’m ashamed to bring it up as I know it’s not medically recognised

Dude speaking from experience dont give up. It takes a lot longer than 7 months to break the addiction. I am at 11 months and am just starting to feel full recovered. It takes time.

  4. Thanks man,
I almost gave up this morning by searching for porn. Then I reminded myself if I fail, things will be much worse.

Relapses are okay. Just make sure to try and push forward the next day. Ive watched porn about a dozen times on my journey but Im still recovering slowly.

Personally I started to feel recovered at about the 9 to 9 1/2 month mark. Since than im slowly reaping benefits.

  7. I don't think a relapse will do good in the situation I'm in right now. Withdrawals are still heavy(brain fog, body pain, head cramp pressure). I will sure feel good for a week or 2 then withdrawals will come back worse.

  8. I am sorry to hear these reports but at least I know I am not losing my mind with reading similar experiences. We need each other.

Your withdrawal just might be a serious case. Withdrawals can potentially last up to a year, tough it out bro, as hard as it seems.

Have you tried excercise?? That helps get the brain chemicals flowing

Keep going brother. I've quit alcohol a few times and that was cake. Caffeine was no problem after like a week. But PMO Holy shit it's the worst thing ever. I had to sleep a crazy amount from 3 months to about 8 months just to survive. Only I the last few days has most of the muscle tension started to reside. Now I'm down to these really weird local headaches around my eyes and cheeks. Besides porn I'm off politics as well. It's just another Psub as far as I'm concerned.

That is the thing with me too. I have this muscle tension inside of me and it is not going away yet. My sleep is still off and I wake with a bit of anxiety after about four or five hours.

You were saying theee to right months to start feeling better. I am stating five months now but still feel at about six months is when true progress will be made.

I want to talk a magnesium supplement for sleep as well but wonder if that would be too much magnesium then ... you take any supplement of the sort eitherx

Some underlying issues may be coming to the surface now that you are not using PMO to mask them, distract yourself. It may be worth digging deeper. You may feel like you are drowning when all you have to do is breathe

  17. Hang in there mate. That’s all you can do if your PAWS is severe. It does get slowly better throughout month to month. I felt constant shit up until 9-11 months and had a major drop off in symptoms. Then a big wave which I think drinking over Christmas was partially to blame (best to cut that out or severely limit it as well) for two months.

I am going to go out on a limb and say in my case I think this withdrawal is like a form of generalised anxiety but severely heightened and burnt out.

A member on another forum I was active on wasn’t functional till 14 months and was still improving over two and a half years.
